First Asian Vehicle
Wife wanter a Santa Cruz first time she saw a picture. I wanted to keep our Lincoln MKC. We went for a test drive and bought it on the spot. It's the 22 Limited with all the bells and whistles. Dealership added $5000.00 to MSRP because they said you couldn't find them, so that put us upside down from the getgo. I am very pleased with the look, ride, accelation, and functionality. There has been several issues first the two door panels attavhed to the drivers door were about 1/2 inch from the door itself and the all wheel drive lock icon comes on by itself in an amber color for no reason. Brought it in first Cruz they saw but issue came up with another model and appointment is made where the rear end has to be dropped to install a coupling, about a two hour job. Hopefully this will be the kinks that a new model brings to the table. I read some reviews about tranny issues and rear brake issues and just hope I don't fall into that same category. The car is exempt from any of the recalls that have come up hopefully the high pressure oil pump. I added a couple of after market items such as black rails for the 4ft. bed side panel, a black bug deflector that goes well with the black grill the Ltd. offers, the black letters on the tailgate, black dual exhaust tips, a magna flow muffler and a 40hp boost chip from Thornton, boosted hp to 321 and ft lbs. torque to over 325. I think the design leaves the bloviated Ford Maverick in the rear mirror as well as the ride and performance. Now the compact pick up vehicle phase is about to begin, I just read that Toyota, Chevy and Dodge are going to bring out their versions withinthe next 24 months. Again I don't have any complaints with this vehicle at all. I will probably buy another one down the line.As far as the features I think they squeeked a bit with no passenger power seat, no memory driver seat, and no auto fold mirrors. Now this is for the Limited trim which is top of the line. That's why I give it a seven in the feaures column.
