I love this car!
I've written a much longer review on the Ioniq5 sub-reddit, but I'll quickly lay out why I love my 2025 Ioniq 5 2WD Limited. This is my first EV, and aside from letting my battery get stressfully low on a couple of trips, it's been a great experience so far. I installed a Level 2 charger in my garage, and it's so easy and convenient to charge.
This car has been a massive leap forward in technology for me. The infotainment center, HUD, cameras, highway driving assist, CarPlay, and app integration are all incredibly well executed. I've also always wanted air conditioned seats and they're amazing. (HUD and A/C seats are Limited and above only)
I have minor annoyances that most other Ioniq 5 owners (or lessors in my case) have, such as the regen braking setting not persisting across driving sessions, the forward attention camera complaining when I grip the steering wheel such that my arm blocks it, and the A/C requiring you to set it to level 1-3 instead of just telling it the temp and it handling the force of airflow accordingly, but those are easily overlooked by how great of an experience driving this car every day is. While it'd be nice if an OTA update would help with some QoL adjustments, if those persisted forever I'd be OK with it.
I'm pleased with the range, the speed of charging, the handling and comfort, the interior design, the "chunky" and "textured" steering wheel, the physical controls, the roomy interior. I haven't enjoyed using a car this much in many, many years.
