2024 Hyundai Elantra SE

I would not buy this vehicle again. Several things have been wrong with this vehicle since the day I got it. I bought it brand new. The driver safety system goes in and out all the time. In the rain and the sun. It doesn’t matter the weather. The horns went out in the very beginning and I didn’t have a car for two weeks. Since then, the Horne has stopped working several times. It will randomly just not pick up speed when pushing on the acceleration. The Apple CarPlay goes in and out. They tried to tell me it was the cord, so I only buy Apple cords, but it still does the same thing. And there are dozens of instances like these when one of the car features doesn’t work. Went out taking it to the dealership. They told me that they can’t do anything about it under warranty unless there is an error code. So they’ve never been able to really fix anything other than the Horne because that was a recall. Too many problems for me. Especially for a brand new car. Would not have purchased this car if I would’ve known. and for a brand new 2024 car not to have heated seats or any sort of lumbar support is crazy.

No Recommendation

The Elantra AC vent started having a musty smell even after servicing the car on time and changing the filter. I went away for 2 weeks and came back and drove the car, no horn! No sound from the horn. I got a text message from City world Hyundai because I had a bad experience at new Rochelle Hyundai and they did not fix the issue after reporting it to them multiple times. Empire Hyundai of New Rochelle decided to call me about a memorial day sale May 2026 before the horn went out. I told the girl I will think about it before making a decision about leasing another car or finance the Elantra. The girl went for her manager for me to make a decision that day. They wanted me to lease another basic Elantra for over $600 and I said no. I'll finance the one I had. My lease didn't end yet because I had until November 2026 to return the car or lease another one. I even told them I didn't have a down payment! Anyways, they ran so many hard inquiries on my credit I got so many denial letters from all these different banks. I saved the letters. So my credit went from 740 to 704 in such a short time. Fast forward to August 2026, City world Hyundai sales person apologize made it look like he cared. Well, so I thought. They told me that I would have to pay $793 a month for a new Hyundai and offered an SUV. I asked if they didn't have anything else. The general manager said it doesn't make sense to have me pay for another sedan for $793. I told him I couldn't afford it and I said I can afford $650. I was getting ready to leave and he said come back the next day the car is mine for $650 a month for 36 months lease. The next day I went to City world Hyundai and met with finance manager, an asian guy. He asked me if they didn't discuss sales tax and dmv fees for $3200. I said no. He started click clacking his keyboard. He said he'll do me a favor and give me the tucson for $800 plus monthly with free oil change and tire rotation. I thought that whenever you lease a car that automatically included. He said I'll get the first month free as well. Not true. This happen mid Aug 2026. My first bill for $775 is due 9/21/2026. I don't know how I'm going to pay this but I know I won't be setting up auto pay. I even told them they can repossess the car. I went from bad to worse. Today, I checked my credit. My credit is 640. These people don't care about consumers. They care about their money. Shame on that sales man using God to get a sale. I'm very disgusted with Hyundai and I do not recommend anyone to them. The Elantra is low, front wheel drive, basic. Stink smell from the AC and no sound from the horn after leasing the car for 2 years and 7 months.

Great car overall, but horn is problematic

Great features, nice infotainment system, and very comfortable. However the horn is unreliable and has had to be replaced three times purchasing in early 2024.

Exciting to drive with an excellent feel even when not in sports mode . And its great to have a spare tire ! Some cars no longer included spare tires which can really save your day .

Poor Paint

I've had a constant issue with the paint on the front bumper since day 1. Within the first 3 months of owning the vehicle it was in the shop for 2 months. The issue was never resolved and to this day the front of the car looks like crap.

I have no problem with vehicle I have a issue with customer service you guys double charged me on my payment you said it would be fixed I have talked with over half a dozen of customer service reps still not fixed it's been since July 2nd why is it not fixed do I need to get a hold of the president of this company or BBB you have stressed me out over this I need it fixed now
