best car I ever had

GREAT car! I got a stick and it is a lot of fun to drive. Three very small items. 1) Emergency Break lever could be re-designed. It is tough to pull it enough to hold the car (Putting it in gear does fine). 2) I wish I had the Elantra in a hatch back. The trunk is very big but I used to get dining tables in my last hatchback. 3) Like most unibody cars the frame hitch strength is limited. When I added a frame hitch to hold a bike rack, I learned I can not carry 4 bikes on the bike rack. Conicelli service is excellent.

The all around good car

I got my 2013 Elantra, when i worked at hyundai. This car was affordable for my low budget at the time. Looked great rode new and got for my at least 33 mpg about all the time. with the exception of winter which is about 28 to 30 mpg.

Love my Elantra

I have been in love with this car since I bought it new in 2012. It is comfortable, easy to drive, great gas mileage, roomy and a great price! I have put many miles on this car and have only needed recommended maintenance.

Before this Elantra I owned a Mercedes C-280 (true story).

The C-280 was a very nice car but, it was constantly bugging me with one silly minor problem or another. Sure, most of it was warranted but, who has time to take their car in for service once a month? I've had the Elantra for almost 5.5 years and, aside from routine service, it has been in the shop for just about a total, yes, a TOTAL of three hours. That's right; three hours total for a simple fix and a software update in just under 5.5 years and all under warranty! How could I not give this car a 5-STAR RATING!! Sure; compared to the C-280 it is under powered, handles poorly, and has horrendous (but tolerable) road noise. So what? I love it.

Elantra Review

The Elantra Handles well. It is a comfortable car with roomy interior. My wife and I went on a Trip to Virginia Beach a few years ago. The car was packed both in the trunk and in the back seat. The car performed very well on the freeway. We got great gas mileage and drove at speeds of 70 MPH. I really like this car. I did have a problem with the automatic transmission shifting. I took it into the dealer and they fixed it for free. I don't know if this issue was part of recall for the Elantra. I find it hard to believe that this car does not come with a spare tire to fix a flat tire. I remedied that by buying a used tire and rim soon after I bought the car. The 10 Gallon gas tank could be larger, maybe a 15 gallon tank instead. I have been driving cars for a long time, the Elantra has provided me with a very pleasurable driving experience. I'm glad that I bought this car.

I love the gas mileage. I've kept up with the scheduled maintenance and the car runs well. However, the tires for the Elantra Limited do not last long. I've had to change tires at least twice a year. Overall, this is a very good car for the price.
