It’s like driving a tin can.

Electronics fail, it slows by its self to 20 or up to 22 mpg intermittently and randomly creating a possible rear end accident (which recently happened).

Great Car - just a couple annoyances

This car is gorgeous to look at, both inside and out, gets amazing gas mileage, is comfortable, and has been very reliable. It's just over two years old and I've put 43,000 miles on it. My only complaint is the driver aid that reminds you to "Consider taking a break". It apparently uses a camera to analyze your eye movement or something similar and decides if you are getting tired. Only problem is that it goes off constantly. Even when I'm less that 2 miles into my trip. And it will go off every 5-10 miles. The dinging bell and flashing lights do get annoying and there's no way to turn it off. I've called Hyundai directly and they claim it's not a "known issue", but my dealer says everyone is complaining about it. The other one is "put both hands on the steering wheel". This also goes off frequently but not as much as the "take a break". But, as a former competition driver, I ALWAYS have two hands on the wheel, and this thing goes off even when I'm driving with my hands in the old-fashioned 10 and 2 position. I've tried driving with one hand, but the warning doesn't go off then, just when I'm using both hands. Apparently the 2023 models had a way to turn this off. But in 2024 they "improved it". This is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me. I do not have any other complaints about this car.

very good hybrid choice

Fun drive and nice sedan design...uses a good hybrid designed fuel system. Has plenty of power, good handling and an easy learning curve to drive the car well and efficiently.

ECONOMICAL, BUT A LOT OF DOWNSIDE

While fuel economy (up yo 55mpg) and the Bose sound system are pluses, there are considerable and significant minuses.

Great mileage

I consistently get over 50mpg in my city driving. My highest mileage over a 30 day period is 58mpg. I only fill the tank once a month.

I love my Elantra!

I love everything about my 2024 Elantra Hybrid - her name is Elanee Ashay. I've never had Bluetooth, the ability to take/make calls and the other amenities. I purchased Elanee used at a great value. It's a joy to wash and clean her! One thing I do not like is the bar on the right-hand side in the front - it has no purpose and inhibits me from reaching that side from the driver's seat. I would also prefer that Apple Car Play be accessible without having to connect with a wire.

Incredible gas mileage

This vehicle, while small, is very comfortable with excellent ride quality. The gas mileage exceeds its EPA ratings. I get an average of 53 mpg, which is a real benefit with the price of gas so high.

The biggest plus is the gas savings. Great sound system and safety system. Good tech support. The biggest negative for us as seniors is the poor access and exit. No spare tire. Also, the back window needs a wiper. Needs a separate trip mileage system.
