2017 Tucson is the WORST! STAY AWAY!

Purchased this car new for our daughter as a new driver. We wanted something substantial, safe, but also something she could handle driving. This car has been a lemon since day one. We have absolute regret and will never purchase another Hyundai again. As others have mentioned the pickup on this vehicle is non existent. Due to this the car is in fact dangerous. You can depress the gas pedal almost to the floor and the car takes forever to move. Forget trying to pass anyone on the highway either, not enough engine power or pickup. We have had it in and out of the dealership more times than we can count and dealing with two different dealerships in two different states...they both are HORRIBLE. Our daughter took her car to college and we have no faith that the car is reliable. After the car turned three years old it kept refusing to start 50% of the time. She was stranded several times doing errands tanks to this unreliable heap of trash. After a week of dealing with this she took a day away from classes to sit at the dealership and was told that she needed a new battery to the tune of $300! Most recently the oil light went on. She had an oil change on April 21, 2021 and it is now June 7, 2021. Not even two months and only 2000 miles and her car was out of oil!!!??? How does this happen? Either the engine is burning through oil for some unknown reason or the dealership didn't actually do the oil change! There is no visible leak so clearly there is some other issue. This car is the worst, I regret wasting the money on it, cannot wait to trade it in and get a Honda in its place. We never should've gotten anything other than a Honda to begin with...lesson learned.

Hyundai- good value for the price

2017 Hyundai Tucson . At 53K miles, the Tucson has been reliable with the exception of bad wheel bearings. However the 60k warranty covered the repair. Very sporty and fun to drive. 7” audio screen is too small. Can’t beat a brand new vehicle at $25,000. Good tip is to definitely get rid of a Hyundai and KIA at warranty end or you will be sorry.

I LOVE MY TUCSON

I researched vehicles for several days before trying the Tucson. I was in love the first time I used the multi-option seat adjuster! I had test-driven other models, but sitting in this one just felt like, "home". The size and maneuverability were just perfect for my needs. I believe that this model has optimum back-seat room also. I have driven my EXTRA-tall family around with no complaints of needing more headroom or legroom!

Since first purchasing our vehicle we have complained about the shifting and shuddering problem. We have asked repeatedly for this to be repaired, but on prior visits were advised that there was nothing Hyundai could do about the problem. This time the problem has been repaired and we are no longer afraid to turn left because of previous stalling or the shuddering that happened on a slight incline. Thanks for getting it right at long last.

Love the Tucson.....but

I love my Tucson....everything but the stalling effect when one first starts driving. I understand that it's because of the dual clutch (or something like that), but it makes me nervous every time I have to pull into traffic. Also, there is only one USB port.

Car shutters and shakes

I bought my Hyundai Tucson brand new first new car in 18 years! I am scared to pull into traffic you never know when the vehicle may decide not to go. Then when sitting still and idling it shakes. My dream car had become me being afraid and very disappointed. I too have been told to floor it and drive aggressively by Hyundai tech. Really hoped to have this car along time as we have had 5 different used Hyundai’s over the years and never had an issue. Very disappointed with the 17.

enjoyable ride love my Tucson

This is my first time purchasing a Hyundai. I have to say I'm truly enjoying suv it is great on the highway and not bad on Gas. It rides very comfortable and the sound system is great . I also like the navigation system I don't have to use my phone.

Love My Tuscon!

I bought my Tuscon new in 2017 and still am extremely happy with it. It has been dependable, and I would recommend the vehicle. The only thing I would suggest is that the beep for locking and unlocking the car was louder. Overall, very happy!

Nightmare

I have bought three cars for my kids all at the same dealer excellent and referred so many people also but this Tucson a nightmare it’s a lemon and hyundai won’t except it I’m done with them never again in my life

My Tuscan is 4 years old and performing beautifully without any major problems. I definitely would buy another if i needed one.

I have had my Tuscan for 4 years and it gets an excellent rating every time I have Mike Miller change my oil and rotate my tires, which I do on a regular basis to keep my car running perfectly. The only problems I have had are routine maintenance, such as replace fuses and light bulbs.

Tucson Performs

Tucson is our second Hyundai and we will buy Hyundai again. We are happy with the performance of the vehicle. This vehicle is easy to get in and out of as it is what I consider street height. Mileage is good, head room is good and size of vehicle is perfect.

Really enjoy my Tucson. I love the split screen with the navigation on one side and the music on the other side or full screen if I want it. The SUV rides good. Wish I had not gotten the sunroof put in after buying the car. It is a small SUV but just right for me.

My car runs smoothly. Great mileage. The cool seats are great in the summer and the heated seats great in the cold weather. The radio gets great reception in all areas and the GPS finds all the addresses I use.

Hyundai Tucson is a Winner

In the past I have owned Santa Fes. This time around, I decided that I didn't need a large car. My wife kept the Santa Fe and I bought a Tucson. It has good pickup and holds the road well, Though it'll never receives awards for extraordinarily good gs mileage, I didn't buy it for that. I bought it for comfort and safety. This model is easy on the wallet but it doesn't drive like a cheap car because it isn't. It is very well-made. It's probably heavier than other automobiles in its class but that's a good thing. That's one of the reasons why its safety ratings are so high.

Love this vehicle, transmission is different, but comfort, value and mileage are awesome. Will hate to trade in as I approach warranty end!!!I have gotten 39 miles per gallon on highway travel, with around 28 in town, acceleration is great, which is essential on 2 lane highways!

Love my Tucson,

I love my Tucson, the only thing I don’t like is the storage space . I went from a Sante Fe to this and lost my storage because the spare is now in the back instead of underneath . Love the heated seats and using blu link to start it
