Overview

I have always found the Genesis product to be a luxury type automobile and loved it from the start, I'm hooked on the product . Awesome brand. Not sure of what more can be said, anyone would be happy to drive the product, whether SUV or the car itself

Smooth and sophisticated

The car is beautiful and a smooth ride. There are so many features that it takes a bit to figure everything out but once you do, it is amazing. It is missing wireless Apple CarPlay, which is a big miss. Supposedly, it is coming through a software update. Hopefully, that is a priority as wireless CarPlay is somewhat standard on 2025 vehicles.

Very Good

Vehicle is nice to drive, comfortable, and spacious. Technology is mostly excellent. Some changes between the last model year do not really make much sense, and removed customization options. Should not ever have haptic controls on a steering wheel.

Poor customer service

If you call Genesy.com for help they can do nothing. I’ve made 8 calls to try to correct my phone number in their system to no avail. I’ve now waited 4 days for the engineering department to call me back to see if they can figure out how to change a phone number. Meanwhile I can’t get online with them to solve other problems because they have to text me a code to get online,but they have the wrong number! I should have purchased a Lexus.

Poor customer follow up. Your call center can’t fix my simple problem

If you can’t say something nice. Don’t say anything. Your call in customer service sucks, I I have made eight calls to try and get my correct phone number placed in your system and it still hasn’t happened. It has now been 4 days I have been waiting for engineers to call me back and tell me how they can change my phone number in you system. Can you imagine what is going to happen to me if I have a serious problem? I should have purchased a Lexus they know what quality and customer service is. You guys have failed me eight times so far. I’m not asking for the moon, but without the correct phone number in you system you can’t send me a text with the sign in code so I can’t enter Genesis. Com. How could you ever fix my car when you can’t make a simple phone number change in your system?

Nice but noisy - wireless car play DOES NOT WORK

Wind coming through passenger side ever since taking delivery. Noisy. Everyone in the cabin notices. I took it to dealership to get looked at. They kept it for 2 weeks, didn't fix anything. Poor car, poor dealership. Nobody contacted me to schedule regular service...I thought they would as this is advertised as a "premium" vehicle and white glove service - that is a joke of a statement. You are not even close to a luxury vehicle. I have owned 3 Mercedes Benz in the past so I can give a fair comparison.

Well constructed and beautiful vehicle

I’m happy that we purchased the Genesis GV80 as this is a quality vehicle. Its interior is beautiful and comfortable as the exterior design looks pretty slick. We have had this GV80 for several months now and so far I haven’t encountered any issues whatsoever as it shouldn’t since it’s a brand new. We were delighted when we realized we can actually drive GV80 without the fob key as long as your cell phone is connected to this vehicle. We found this benefit by accident because I left the key at home. After I started the engine with the key in my pocket. I went back inside of my house to change the jacket and forgot about the key. I drove my GV80 to my destination and realized what I have done! I had to google on my phone what to do under this situation. I saw someone mentioned on YouTube about driving the GV80 only with cell phone. Since my phone was already paired with my SUV, with hope, I started the engine and viola, it worked. Thanks Genesis for this brilliant technology! I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is in the market for a new SUV. I’m also a owner of Audi A4 which I drove almost 2 decades without any problems. I hope this GV80 would last just as long as my Audi is.

LOVE IT !

Very comfortable ride, plenty of power with 3.5 T great technology love the safety, spare tire should be included love the screen graphics and heads up display glacier white two tone interior is spectacular exterior styling ls always noticed plenty of cargo space

So far so good, only 1800 miles and no extended journeys yet. Rear hatch is flimsy and not even close to the Lexus RX350, along with a better rear wiper is tucked up under spoiler and not exposed, especially going to a car wash, has to be taped in place each time..

Beautiful car

I bought 2 GV80 from Genesis of Conway Arkansas after trading two Mercedes and we love our GV80. Hope they will last good time and keep their value. This suv has very sharp look and style from outside and inside. The design overall very very elegant.

Luxurious Genesis

Loving my new Genesis GV80. It gives me a comfortable ride along with those extra comfort qualities like the lumbar/massage seating. Cameras on the vehicle allow me to check my surroundings for safety and help me with parking. I'm used to driving a mini-van so I miss some of the extra space in the back, but all the special features on my GV80 make up for it.

I have only one problem.

I love my Genesis GV80. It has been one flaw. I am waiting for an update on the software to make CarPlay work without having to use a wire. I have been told this update would be coming shortly and I have been waiting since August of last year. I hope someone resist and can help me. Thank you.

Our New Genesis GV80

Overall we love our Genesis. We have put about 10k miles on it and have taken a couple of road trips in it. I love the head up display, but found you can’t see it well with polarized sunglasses (not a car issue, but took a minute to figure out). I have 3 items that I feel could use some tweaking that I listed in the cons, but overall it is a great vehicle.

Such a joy

Steady progress. Refined luxury. This replaced a Hyundai Genesis sedan. Still glad to stay with Genesis as the brand branches to be distinct from Hyundai. I hope they continue to innovate and expand and add to their vehicle line up. I encourage all shoppers the luxury mid size segment to give this car a look. It will not disappoint.

The GV80 is so comfortable, sleek, nimble, sporty/ luxurious to drive!

A head turner everywhere we go! Quiet, lots of power, great turn radius. It is "thirsty", though. First impression of Genesis/hyundia was/is very pleasant, with email communications, tips. etc favorable. My wife drives it mostly, and she absolutely loves, coming from a Lexus 12 years. We love it!

Middle of the Road

Exhilarating performance, beautiful lines, sumptuous interior, all to be let down by poor ergonomics, over emphasis on electronic over-rides, and not enough focus on driver and passenger comfort. Considering the premium price paid, this vehicle should have significantly more options. Example would be adjustable ride height, configurable electronic controls - not just off or on - and significantly better ergonomics. The dials for shift and info-tainment controls are in awkward locations and are easily confused. They should be uniquely different. Steering wheel controls are not as intuitive as other brands leaving the driver having to study up on everything vs it coming intuitively. Seat position and HUD positioning and Dash positioning - are absolutely terrible. You cannot see the dual dials without the steering will being nearly vertical leaving one to drive with it at an awkward angle in order to read them. The HUD will only raise to a limited point and is easily cut off from view if you are taller - make it somewhat useless as a safety feature. We purchased this vehicle for safety reasons - HUD, Blindspot detection, Easier night driving - but based on the poor ergonomics - I'm beginning to think its set up may actually make it more difficult for us - can't read the gauges without the wheel being at a weird angle, the HUD is too low to be of any use, because you can see the twin dials - it is of no use for lane changes at night. Middle of the road - at best.

It's Okay!!

No spare tire and nothing other than a factory warranty on the tires, which is mileage coverage only. Not road hazard. Hard to purchase that via Discount Tire. They push the scent diffusers and the mood feature..but they don't tell you the scents are $200+.🤔

Beautiful Design

The design, the smooth ride, the power and the luxury make this one great vehicle. I've had this car now for almost 5 months and it's one of the nicest vehicles I've owned. I've had many luxury cars over the years and this one tops them all. If you haven't tried a Genesis, you're missing out!

Great ride Great Looks

I selected the GV80 based on the ride quality, the quality of the interior finish and the safety controls. I have not been disappointed after 2 months it still a great car. The Genesis sales and technical support team have been very responsive The buying process was very simple and easy to process
