Like V-6 engine, Ride a little bouncy, sometimes jolting, needStorage
Major reasons for choosing the Genesis was the v-6 engine which is quiet Peppy, personally would be adequate without turbos and tuning for premium gas. I don’t like 4-cylinder engines with numerous geared transmission, which produce a big noise with little go. The warranty being (in my opinion) better than the competition is also a big plus for making the purchase.
I also wanted all the advanced safety features. I almost selected a comparable size Cadillac, with Super Cruise but the Change in 2026 to electric in my choice of models just killed it for me. I was disappointed that the Genesis did not have a similar feature.
Negatives:
On a few occasions I have driven a few blocks, stopped at a stop sign an as I start up, the engine seems to falter and and on one occasion I coasted over to the side of the rode and restarted the engine. Seems to work better when I push the switch that prevents the engine from dying when one is stopped in traffic.
I know it is picky to say, painted wheels are a negative. I intended to buy a white vehicle; however, when I saw one up close I thought the wheels made the car too ugly to buy.
Storage is inadequate & inconvenience for things like Kleenex, Tylenol, anti acids etc. The suspension could be described as tight to give the vehicle a slight sports car ride, which allows one to go around curves at a slightly higher speed. However, In my area the streets and the interstate highway is not in the best condition, which gives the vehicle a bouncy jolting ride at times, more so than my previous vehicle.
Overall I am happy with my purchase. The survey asks for a rating on Reliability, at the 1,200 mile mark it is impossible to know. Because, a response was required I selected the middle. One will need at least a year to say with any degree of confidence.
