Learning to drive this vehicle

Mostly love it. Concerned that when I push the gas pedal it doesn’t take off immediately. When it does, it jerks. I probably have something turned on that shouldn’t be.turned on.

performance and luxury as expected

I purchased my GV70 4.5 months ago. My first luxury vehicle, so I was nervous if I was going to have buyers remorse for spending so much. Absolutely NOT. I enjoy driving this car every day. It is the perfect combination of performance and luxury. Only three minor issues: 1) 3-4 times while driving the screen went black then rebooted. It came back up with all setting intact, but concerning it does this spontaneously, and 2) the drivers vanity light has not worked since delivery. I didn't notice it until the day after delivery. I am sure they will fix it during the first oil change apt, and 3) I wish there was a way to turn off the auto engine stop. At stop lights when I touch the gas to re-engage the engine it is a bit jumpier than I like, especially for the passengers. Other than that the car has been perfect.

Sporty SUV

My only complaint is a dent that was found on drivers side door that needs repaired. Dent was there when took vehicle off showroom floor, found couple days later. service to fix it only available on wednesdays and I am 1.5 hours away and have difficulty getting there during the week.

Will tell everyone to avoid

I purchased a brand new 2026 gv70 in may of 2025 and within 4 months and under 4500 miles there are paint chips in the hood and the bumper that you claim are road debris related. The paint in your vehicles is thin and you refuse to cover your craftsmanship. My luxury experience is being turned away twice and told to contact BBB to maybe have a chance to fix my issues.

Great Vehicle

This is the first Genesis vehicle that I have purchased and so far the experience has been great. The ride of the vehicle is very smooth and the acceleration of the vehicle is strong and responsive. The interior of the vehicle is nice and feels very solid and well made. The UI for the vehicle is pretty intuitive but takes some getting used to especially with the shift by wire if you are used to a traditional shifter. The display screen looks great and is easy to use as well. For all of the great things about the vehicle there are some minor things which I feel could be improved. Some of the settings in the vehicle are not saved/remembered which I think should be. I have had some minor issues with the Apple car play as well. Overall, the experience so far with the vehicle has been great for me and I would recommend if looking for a SUV with a strong stronger engine and luxury ride.

Best

This car for me checks all the boxes. From fit & finish to power, handling, safety, looks, comfort, gas mileage could be a little better. My avg. in town only and I drive slowly 21.4 my Ford Ranger 22.1. The ranger has 270 H.P. I'd give up the 30 H.P. to use reg. gas.

South shore service manager met me when I arrived and test drove the vehicle . This help me demonstrate the transmission rough shifting issues. After test drive he understood the issue and was able to resolve it to my satisfaction.

Great Vehicle

Although I only have 800 miles on my 2026 GV70 I find it to be an enjoyable vehicle to drive. It has excellent power and has a pleasing sound. It took a while to get accustomed to the user interface and get everything set up initially. If I have one complaint I find the idle stop/start function to be rather harsh. I do like the radio and AC buttons and wish there were more user buttons and switches. Chasing functions on the computer user interface is too distracting for me. I also like most of the safety features, especially the rear cross traffic warning.

Fabulous GV

Beautiful 2026 GV70, coming out of a GV80… Best vehicles I have ever owned. Have owned and driven them all, from MB, BMW, Lexus, Cadillac, Lincoln, Infiniti, all… None can compare with the design, details, build quality from front to back, with all the fixin’s. My new GV70 came out of the box, PERFECT, and is PERFECT. Bang for the buck included!!

Damn good vehicle, maybe consider some small changes?

I came from 30 years of Porsche's and this is very close to being perfect! I loved the fact that it comes with all the bells and whistles, almost all. A couple of points I'd like to see changed. The Auto-Off at the stop lights is very jerky upon starting? My old car had a switch to disable. The speedometer is located in the far left side of the instrument panel, can't be moved. I drive with my hands at 10 and 2, so my left hand blocks the speedometer. Have an option where you can center it on the dash. It seems to have a hesitation (only have 1000 miles) and that is a little irritating. Simplify the software on the righthand display. The great stuff is the absolute silence of the interior, quality of the radio, acceleration, fit and finish. I know its not a Porsche, but it also doesn't cost $116,000, which was the replacement for my Macan the way it was ordered 10 years ago. It's a quality car and I will adjust to it over time.
