Ron's 2025 GV70

Overall very satisfied. Door locks are a real issue. Sometimes when I go to get in the car and it's unlocked the doors lock. Also back seat doors stay locked when ready to exit. If I am carrying passengers, they cannot get out of the car without me opening the door from the outside. I have done everything i know to fix this to no avail. very frustrating!

Breaking My Heart

I had a GV80 and I Loved it. Which is why I decided to get the GV70 after getting into an accident causing me to need another vehicle. I had the car for 9 months and I end up without a vehicle AT ALL for almost 2 weeks. The oil light came on after driving 6 hours out of town and getting an oil change 3 days prior to that. While out of town I took my vehicle to the nearest Genesis dealership and they could not figure out what was wrong and stated the car could blow up. Because we were out of town, they would not give us a loaner. Once I got back home the communication with Genesis Corporate was absolutely horrible! I had to keep calling to get any information from them. Luckily, the dealership where my car was, actually communicated perfectly! As I was waiting on them to fix it, also calling Corporate, my cat had gotten fixed and now waiting on a tow back to me. I got the run around about that and finally decided to rent a car to go get my car. Literally as I'm at the gas station filling up my car after driving 6 hours and picking it up. I received a call finally approving a tow for my car. I let the woman know that I had already picked up my car. She did apologize and requested to get me a gift card for the inconvenience. I received the gift card by the time I got back home. But it was a lot and disheartening to have had too deal with that. I expected so much more. About 2 months later, another issue but I was local so I was able to get it taken care of. But worth it being a brand new car, I'm having concerns with the issues it's having. I'm not rough on my vehicles and I keep up with the recommended maintenance. I'm hoping this does not become a constant but I'm definitely a bit worried.

20k miles with my 2025 GV70

Nice vehicle, more luxury than sport. 4cyl turbo is plenty fast, and gives a more nimble drive than the heavier 6 cyl. Average 21 mpg. Plenty of luxury and safety features. factory tow hitch is very fugly, needs a better mounting option for front license plate (if your state requires one). Brake action and headlight perfomance are primary niggles.

We love the fact that you can get in and out of a car very easily,

I don’t like the fact that you cannot lock the doors from the driver seat when you open the driver’s seat door you have to wait till all the doors are open and shut before you can lock all the doors.

Build Quality

Two issues from date of delivery: Defective air flap system which took the dealer a month to repair. Information screen kept flipping off and on. Took two trips to the dealer to repair.

Genesis GV70 - great car

The GV70 is fun to drive. It is just the right size and allows easy entry and exit. Can store quite a bit in the back even without the seats lowered. Comfortable, nice looking car. Would definitely recommend it to others and would buy one again

Still in love with my Genesis

I fell in love with Genesis since they announced the GV80 for the first time. Unfortunately, I was not able to afford one at the time, but when they came out with the GV70, I was able to purchase one. My goal is to trade it in for the GV80 in the near future!
