Best Vehicle I Ever Owned
I'm 72 years old and have owned dozens of vehicles in my lifetime. I currently own a 1999 Dodge Caravan that I purchased from a Dodge dealer in Foley, Alabama in 1999 with 29,000 miles on it. 16 years later it has more than 206,000 miles on it and still going strong. I've had to replace some items over the years but nothing major. But I do change the oil and oil filter about every 4,000 miles. I also maintain and replace any part that might show some wear (spark plugs at 100,000 miles, brakes, serpentine belt, tires, battery, etc. I'm surprised my muffler and exhaust system is still the original without any problems (compared to when we use to replace these items about every 20,000 to 30,000 miles years ago). And, the automatic transmission has had no problems . . . but then, I'm pretty easy on the pedal. I have had this minivan repainted twice over the years and it looks like a new one. The one thing I have never liked or appreciated is the difficulty in removing the two rear seats.
