Crooks

I purchased a 2007 Toyota FJ cruiser from them on 4/17/20. The first payment was due on 5/17/20 and I was in the process of moving and lost the paperwork. I was awaiting the paperwork to come in from the finance company and was late. without any call or mail from them, on June 4 the auto dealer purchased the car back from the financing company Westlake Financial. I contacted the dealership to find out who to pay my first payment to and the general manager told me she would give me the info the next morning and she repossessed that night. I called them multiple times to try and make a payment arrangement and told them also that I would pay it off but they said that that opportunity was gone. They never told me when they were going resell it or give me an opportunity to make payment arrangements which is required by law. The car is now up for sale and I still have not heard from them. There are also a number of things that were stolen out of the car and they will not return them. I am on disability because of rheumatoid arthritis and the $6,500 I put down on the car was all the money I have. Now I have no money to buy a used car and I am unable to afford a new one. I have tried and tried to work this out with them. They refuse and of course they would because they made a lot of money. I only had about $5,300 financed so I put a down payment on it that was more than what I financed. All of this during a pandemic! They are crooks!
