Simple visit this time. Battery replacement. Knew exactly what battery replacement was best for my Infinity. Sirinity is professional. Answered my questions. I have total confidence dealing with them.
I brought my 91 Jeep Cherokee for repair of my cracked flex plate (Flywheel). Finding good replacement parts is difficult but, Palm Coast Auto found the correct part and got me on the road again. Had a small problem the next day and they immediately put it on the lift and corrected it. I'll have no problem coming back for any future repair. Plus, they have a cool cat named Cat.
I called and asked if I could get a battery installed. As they were closing at 12:00 noon, and it was about 11:30 they said if I were there in 10 minutes they would be able to accommodate me. They were very efficient and took me right in.
I highly recommend Palm Coast Auto Repair.
My family and I have been a customer for the past 7 years. We've been satisfied with the service until my last visit. I brought my car in for a tune up and transmission flush. My car had 104K miles at the time of this service. Prior to this service, I had a 100k mile checkup, where Dave informed me that my car was in good shape.
After the tune up and transmission flush, I was told that my transmission was going to fail, and I should get rid of the car ASAP. This was after being billed $850.00 for these services. I was shocked and upset by this news. My car was running a bit rough, when I picked it up from them.
I went to two different auto repair shops after leaving Palm Coast Repair to verify if in fact, my transmission was about to fail. As it turns out, Palm Coast Auto Repair was wrong about their diagnosis regarding my car transmission.
It cost me another 225.00 to have my transmission rechecked by a different auto shop. They flushed the transmission 2x more, just to make sure it was running smoothly. When I picked it up, I was told that it should be running smoothly which proved to be true.
I called Palm Coast Repair and spoke with David to inform him of my disappointment and frustration regarding this latest issue. David said he would speak with Ken and get back to me. I haven't heard back as of yet.
This is the 3rd time that there was an error in diagnosing major problems with one of our cars. During Covid I had a 2016 Buick Verano with 35k miles at the time of the last service with Palm Coast repair. The check engine light came on, which I brought it into Palm Coast to check it out. I was told that it was just a sensor issue, no major issue. It came on again where I brought it to the dealership for a service check. That turned out to be that the transmission was failing and needed a new one. I was lucky that the Buick was still under warranty. I didn't have to pay for the new transmission on the Buick.
The 3rd time was regarding my son's car, shortly after we purchased it. Again, we were told by Ken that it was a transmission problem. We brought his car to the dealership as it was still under warranty. The dealership did not find any issues with his car transmission. My son's car has been fine for over 50K miles since their misdiagnosis.
We will no longer rely on Palm Coast Repair for any of our car services.
