Worst Car Buying Experience Ever
I would avoid this place at all costs. My wife and I had been looking for an SUV for a while. We wanted to downgrade from our luxury SUV which we simply don't drive or enjoy as much as we thought we would. We saw a Rav4 we liked online, so we put in our information to unlock the "smart price." The smart price unveiled at 38,700 for this 2021 Rav4 Hybrid. Within seconds, we got a phone call, text, and email asking us to come in and take a look at the car.

We drove to the dealership, test drove the car, and decided to move forward with the purchase. Things were going well until this moment. The salesman sat down and offered to sell me the car at not 38,700, but 44,000, with a trade in on my existing vehicle at 10k under KBB. The salesman explained how cars do not sell at msrp. They sell for higher due to low supply and high demand. He then continued to explain how this was somehow a good deal for me, insulting my intelligence.

Regarding the trade in, the salesman with a straight face told me that used car prices were going to come back down to reality and that KBB was inflated. I essentially was being asked to overpay for the new car due to supply chain issues, but not being offered the same logic on my trade in. Meanwhile, on the lot, a 2019 Rav4 was selling for 44k, higher than the MSRP of a new Rav4 of the same model. Yet inside, I was being told my used car was not worth even KBB.

My goal for this afternoon was to pay MSRP and get KBB for my trade. Pretty reasonable if you ask me. Since when is it not ok to pay full sticker for a car. I simply don't care if others are paying over, I just know that I was not going to pay over. If that is not doable, fine, I should be allowed to leave.

I said it wasn't going to workout and asked to leave, but the salesman refused to give me my keys back. He kept going back and forth, coming back with insulting offers. This is when I became infuriated. I asked for my keys one last time and went and stood by the front where they were talking behind a desk. Mark Henderson, a sales consultant at the front, looked over at the group and asked them to return my key. At this point, another salesman named Ahmad Alkabra came over, apologized, and agreed to sell me the car at msrp with the trade value I wanted.

We were then told to wait in the waiting room where we sat for 30 minutes until we were finally asked to come sign. The icing on the cake was finding out after I signed that the car didn't come with floor mats. The same horrible salesman looked at me and said there was nothing he could do and that the car didn't come with mats. I have never purchased a new car without getting floor mats and wouldn't even think to check for or ask, because it seems like such a stupid thing to do. Is it my fault for not checking that the car didn't come with mats? Absolutely. I'll never buy a car again without checking. But I was not offered a solution or even asked if I wanted to even purchase some. We are now owners of a brand new car without floor mats during the one of the wettest winters on record, and no one at this worthless dealership has been able to respond to my requests to purchase mats. Pretty unbelievable.

Between the deceptive and aggressive sales practices, and borderline worthless staff, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Once you have signed, you are dead to them. As we were leaving the salesman even said, "You seem pretty tech savvy so I'm not going to help you set up you car." I laughed and shrugged it off at the time, but now that a bit of time has passed, I'm irate. One would expect a little more customer service spending 40k on a new car.

I emailed the general manager, Paul Chung, directly to explain my experience, to which I got no response. Shocker.

I want to be extremely clear in this review. This dealership epitomizes the sleazy car salesman stereotype and goes out of their way to perpetuate it. I will not return here ever again to purchase a car and I plan to make it my goal to tell everyone about this experience.

If someone has a gun to your head and you have no choice but to go to this dealership, try to find a gentleman named Ahmad Alkabra or Mark Henderson. My short interaction with these 2 was the only positive experience I had at this place.

I'd give the place zero stars if I could.

Great Service Manager
Khing Ly is above and beyond when it comes to managing and coordinating the great service I've had over the years at Magic. My AC died recently and while trying to repair it they discovered other problems that were keeping the AC from working consistently. Khing did everything he could to get the problem diagnosed properly, parts ordered correctly and the problem fixed as soon as possible. He even went as far as to use his personal vehicle for measurement comparisons to mine to help with the diagnosis.
I've gone to Magic for years for servicing, they've changed a lot over those years but Khing has remained committed to providing quality and timely service each and every time I bring my Tundra in.

Patrick in service dept?-This guy should not even be working there.
Had squeaking noise coming from one of the wheels which you can hear when the car is rolling (5-6 mph). reported this when car had approx. 10000 miles. Service tech said couldn't find problem. Now car has approx 33000 miles. Dropped car off on a Wednesday night for a Thursday appt. Was told service was assigned to Patrick. Late Thursday i call because no has called me to let me know status. Find out nothing was really done to vehicle-Patrick had already gone home. Called Friday to find out status as no one still has called. Patrick finally returned call to say they couldn't re-create problem-dude is pretty rude on phone. They hung on to my car for 2 days just to tell me there is no problem?? I will just take it to another Toyota dealer who i can trust as i've lost my trust in the service guys at Magic Toyota.

Used Trash
I bought a 6 year old Corolla from these guys. The second day I had the car, it was downshifting like a bull ramming the car. I thought the transmission was going to rip the car apart.

At the minimum, the took the car back for service but they couldn't find the problem. I begged them to change the transmission fluid but they ignored my request. It appears they didn't try because another Toyota Dealer reset the transmission which helped the problem.

They also gave me access to a service loaner which was great....except I fell in love with the service loaner. Several months later I bought a brand new Toyota and I didn't even think twice about visiting Magic Toyota... now under a different name.

Unfortunately the problem is with the cruddy WS Transmission fluid that Toyota uses which the Service Techs believe to be a lifetime fluid. The WS Fluid is a semi-synthetic fluid that gets dirty quickly. So to solve the problem I had another dealer reset the transmission and then I flushed the fluid myself.

Also, when I went to drop the Corolla off, I got into an argument with a Service Tech which insisted the transmission is sealed. He didn't believe me until I showed him the transmission dipstick.

The salespeople were friendly but the service department needs to do a better job of checking the cars that are on their lot. Toyota's change to these CVT, 8-speed transmissions, and engines with thinner oils all come with tighter tolerances so these service techs need to be on top of their game.

WILL STEAL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND SIGN YOU UP FOR A CREDIT CARD AND THEN SAY “IM SORRY”
I visited Magic Toyota on 3/8 for a standard vehicle service on my 2017 Corolla. Upon my service my husband asked me to take a look at some crossovers as we were thinking to upgrade in the future but did not have any intention with purchasing a car. (Associate I won’t be naming) had came up to me when I was in the parking lot looking at the 2021 Rav4 Hybrid and offered to test drive with me so we did. After the test drive I was willing to go over numbers with him but made it very very clear that unless it was a straight across trade and keeping my payments under $500 I wouldn’t be interested in trading. He then sent me with money to get starbucks for him … which was a bit weird but also an excuse to drive the car again so that was fine. While I was out he had an appraiser (not sure who) look at my Corolla to get the value.

This was my first time trading in a car so I guess I wasn’t really prepared to come in with the knowledge I should had, but as an associate I believe the process was not done correctly and in my favor as a customer.

Before even letting me know what the value they were offering me on my car The associate had drafted the paperwork to run my credit, obviously I knew what I was authorizing there which was just for my credit to be pulled for the car approval itself.

After my credit was ran and I was approved he then started showing my numbers and paperwork which included the value of my car which was priced at $8,000. I then looked up my car on Kelly blue book because I already knew that was well well under the value, coming to find even if my car was in poor condition (it was not, there was no damage besides the rims) it would be valued at the lowest $10,000 so at this point I was definitely not interested but for some reason The associate had it in his head I needed this car, remember me saying I made it very clear? I guess not to him..

He then proceeded to go back and forth trying and trying to change numbers but of course unless my car value was raised I was never going to do it and I told him that.

I ended up leaving the dealership and told him I would sleep on it to be nice but I already knew it was not going to happen.

Our communication at this point was over the phone or text and I did not visit the dealership again.

I told him I was not interested in trading, a credit card, putting down any money, or any of that sort via text on 3/9 twice, and on 3/10 three times and each time it was an overwhelming push back from him that he had some “magical” deal as well as a phone call on 3/9 from his coworker also trying to make it happen. At the end of the day I just told him for a final time I was not interested.

Fast forward to 3/18, I open my mailbox to a Toyota credit card I did not authorize or sign for. This is illegal and fraud. I spoke with Toyota credit to report it to the fraud department and they said they would close it but my credit will now be affected from the inquiry.

I then spoke with the Director and she basically said its my word against his and hes a trustworthy guy so all she can say was that shes sorry for the miscommunication.

There was no miscommunication, The associate knew I did not want a line of credit and specifically said my credit did not need to be ran again. Regardless verbal authorization is not a legal form to apply for a credit card so basically they stole my social security number, and information, and applied for a credit card on my behalf.

I told The director I will give her the weekend to come up with accommodations besides "I'm sorry" because that is not going to cut it what so ever.

Excellent buying experience!!!
Just bought a rav4 hybrid f Mark Henderson, he was fantastic to work with. He helped me pick out the right car I was looking for. They had the largest selection from any other dealership I visited. It only took 30 minutes to negotiate fair deal on his computer and all I had to do was push the buttons on his computer screen to all the financing and lease program available. Would definitely buy from here again.

Best Place To Buy A Car In Seattle
This is my 2nd car purchase from Magic Toyota. The staff was really friendly and took the time to listen to all my needs. I drove off in my Certified Rav4, after looking at two other dealerships that would not listen to me. I will be sending all my friends to see Paul for a great car buying experience.
