Re-Inspection but I had engine problems too
I needed a re-inspection. I was having eratic revs and acceleration problems too. I couldn't get out of 1st gear but it was able to be driven to crouch from Timberbrook. Crouch said that it would not go in reverse to get the car into the shop. They said it needed a new clutch and it would be 1900 dollars. I walked up to Crouch, got me keys, and put it in reverse and drove my car back to my house Timberbrook. I am getting my car towed to another shop for a second oppinion because all the symptoms point to a transmission leak and some engine sensors. I am not sure any diagnostic was done since you couldn't back the car up. I will have the car inspected again at the shop that eventually fixes my car. You've done good work for me in the past. The clutch is fairly new within a year or so and feels good when i shift.

Hello! Thank you so much for your past business. I received your review and immediately spoke with our shop foreman about your visit. I also saw that you were not charged anything for this visit as a courtesy. According to Josh, your clutch is absolutely failing or has failed at this point and needs to be replaced. You're welcome to get a 2nd opinion, but why would you say that you aren't sure if any diagnostic was completed? You stated yourself that you've had good experiences with us in the past. A transmission leak on a manual transmission will not affect the vehicle's ability to move because it's mechanical, not hydraulic-driven. Our technicians are super experienced and very knowledgeable, it isn't often they get something like this wrong. Perhaps if you replaced your clutch within a year, it has an issue and maybe it's even under warranty? We'd be happy to help you research that replacement and see if whomever installed it will warranty it now. I'm available to discuss this further on the phone 410-287-5821, and I'll take a look at the estimate you were provided with tomorrow to see what exactly was quoted or if another option is available.
