Schomp Gaining Ground and Renewing Confidence...Good Job!

New management "Schomp," much better than when "Shortline." There seems to be a renewed interest in service. Years ago, under Shortline, I brought my vehicle in for a repair estimate. The job was going to be big. I just did not seem to be able to get a good answer. I also took time to look at vehicles on the lot. I probably spent 30 minutes or more looking around. Nobody came out of the building and spoke to me. Not a single sales person. Maybe I wasn't dressed to impress. Again, it was Shortline.

The experience reminded me of why for years I drove further away to Arapahoe Hyundai to have my vehicles serviced. I returned to Arapahoe Hyundai and within a month purchased another vehicle. The other vehicle, needing an expensive repair, was idled for a year. Not a problem. When I was ready to move forward, I went to Arapahoe and paid cash for the repair. It's been three years since the service, and the wait paid off.

Though I had been a loyal customer of Arapahoe Hyundai, I noticed some really good changes once Shortline changed over to Schomp Hyundai. Things continue to get better and I'm encouraged to continue seeking service from Schomp. My confidence is renewed in the dealership closest to my home. They have proven that they are committed to doing a good job.

Short staffed

Unfortunately the service department is short staffed. Scheduled my vehicle for an oil change and recall fix. I was unable to get the recall fixed. Was told they didn’t have time. They did rotate my tires. Was there from 11:30 until 3:45 for an oil change and rotate tires. I can’t fault the service technicians as they are working short staffed and it isn’t really their fault. The bright part of my day was having a nice chat with Attila in the sales department about looking for a car for my daughter. He is pretty darn awesome!

Warranty engine replacement. Fuel pump replacement.

Seized engine was replaced under warranty at no cost. We decided to have the fuel pump replaced at our expense as a precautionary measure. Upon arrival at home, there was a noticeable coolant leak from the heater hose, along with the missing undercarriage shield. General Manager Dustin Johnson had the service department address this immediately. My reason for the 5 star rating, referral or recommendations to this dealership is solely because of their General Manager.

Also, from the scratches on the pillar and bent window frame, it appears that someone attempted to break into my vehicle through the driver's side window while awaiting service.
