2008 Land Rover LR/Discovery 3 SE

One of the best built reliable Discovery's. Love the driving position, visibility, confort level, cargo space, timeless design, and versatility. On the down side is the fuel economy but what to except when a vehicle weighs near 3 tons. Always feel safe and of course it is the most capable vehicle to own, on and especially off road. Couldn't drive anything else.

Absolutely love my rig

No regrets from a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK, to a 2008 LR3 4.4L. Just as capable, just as durable, and alot more comfortable. 23 states, and 17 months off grid living. No major mountains but did conquer level 3 trails with ease. Nothing special except 32" KO2 and proud rhino rock rails. Everything went like a dream.

I have learned much about the LR3 with the V8 from day one I have enjoyed driving this vehicle and at times still marvel at its capabilities. Other than regular maintenance there have been minimal issues other than wear and tear.

Awesome SUV LR3

I always wanted a foreign car, I just happened to find a Land Rover LR3, I remember seeing the commercial that the vehicle will climb over rough terrain and go the water, However the previous owner removed the functionality of these devices. This is the best vechieal ive ever driven. A lot of horsepower, no issues, except for normal, water pump , right wheel. Someone changed the oil and ruined the pan. The air conditioner not working, it was in the beginning, it would freeze you on #1, I would definitely recommend a land rover LR3 for those that can afford to have one. I would like another one,

I love my LR3

This is truly the best car I have ever owned. I bought it new in 2008 and I’ve driven it over 194,000 miles. It is comfortable, spacious, safe, and it also looks great! It runs like new and I plan on keeping it for a very long time. I hope to drive it to 500,000 miles.

Love my LR3

The only drawback to this vehicle are the costly repairs. Otherwise, best vehicle I’ve owned. It’s a fun vehicle to drive, feel very safe out on the road. It’s performance is awesome and overall a very reliable vehicle.

Not for economy buyer

The Land Rover is quirky, controls a bit illogical and certainly has some reliability issues. However, when things turn snowy, mushy or muddy, this is the car you want to drive. You know you have command over these situations with the suspension settings and the plethora of traction control options. The high clearance can get you over obstacles and has seating for 7, what's not to like? All of the high end features are there, albeit a little clunky in execution but it works. Maintenance has been an issue with several main systems needing to be fixed but when it works, it's great.
