My 2 Land Rover Discovery's

The seats and windows make for great viewing.You sit kinda high. Had 2 Land Rovers - 2000 & 2002 Discovery ( still have the 2000 ) ALWAYS get compliments when out driving. Gonna buy another one soon !

Tough to go anywhere without a expensive trip to th mechanic

When I bought it I didn't realize it had a blown head gasket . After the mechanic tore into it added air intake sleeves and water pump to the expense. Then both drive shafts started a wobble and had to be replaced. Next came a barrage of check engine lights, needing a transmission temperature sensor which is inside the pan. Also secondary blower malfunction, followed by the actuator for said blower. Still only 116545 miles on it,when I bought it it had 112500 miles.

Great guys with at home feeling at Lee's auto

My Land Rover is great I love it does everything I wanted it to do exceeded its except for a blown head gasket it exceeded my expectations and all is its fieldsand I brag and boast about it a lot and how good of a vehicle it was until I got two blown head gasket which is getting fixed and I feel comfortable about by Lee's Auto working on my be ride . Trustworthy and good for adventure.

This vehicle was used daily for 15 years. It had very few problems beyond the motor and that was replaced by the company. The ride comfort is exceptional and potholes are nothing to complain about. The braking system is massive and necessary as the vehicle weighs over 5000 lbs. The ride is high and the visual fields are great for all passengers as the rear seats are raised to see past the front passengers. The sky lights at the rear allow the 3rd row passengers enjoy a view and those seats are comfortable for a semi-long drive. Dual air conditioning is a plus and there are hookups for i pods and i phones. The car was well equipped for the year 2000 and the winter package was great with a windshield defroster. We have enjoyed this car tremendously and would not give it up until something catastrophic and so costly to fix its not worth having anymore.

2000 Land Rover Discovery II

Why do I still have it, it's reliable and now with a new engine (Atlantic British) at 225000 miles, it is better than ever. Not the easiest to live with, but if looked after properly, will give years of good service. In southern states heat, plastic trim can take a beating if the vehicle is left out in the sun.

Land Rover Discovery II reliability

With over 230000 miles on the clock and still used daily, I would say it is reliable, but it still requires maintenance. Most Land Rover Dealerships tend to gouge the Owner’s, but there are some very good and certified Repair Shops that can keep these vehicles on the road.
