It's no Toyota, that's for sure

The below are opinions. The Good --It is still running at around 90K miles. --It can fit wider items than an '05 RAV (which I had). --I like the good visibility of the large windshield --It doesn't have a side-swing door with a spare on it to make bike racks difficult. The Less Good --No oomph going up hills or passing. Adequate in most cases if you are a safe alert driver in no hurry unless you want to do cross-country trips and drive in West Virginia or Colorado, say. It took many months to stop missing the pickup of my Toyota--also a 4 cyl. automatic without FWD. --Passenger seat doesn't lay flat. --VERY noisy cabin (interferes greatly with radio listening pleasure) --Original tires not great --Rear door gave up staying up. Watch your head!! And get used to the loose screw that has been rattling around in it from the get-go --Bad electrical system (one recall fixed the worst issues but since the dealer's fix long ago, the radio decides at random to turn off or on). --Bad engine had to be recalled and then a forever warranty issued --Speakers will not pair to iphones (various models) except occasionally by chance, and Kia doesn't know why the car manual instructions for doing pairing don't work the way they should. --Car paint job was thin and coatings didn't last. The worst is any black coating on the trim--like the black strips on the roof. These strips are actually black atop chrome. The black peels off like a bad sunburn, the chrome peeks out, and the whole look is terrible. My '05 RAV was 15 years old and its strips had zero peeling (they did have fading, but you can fix that). The Kia started peeling 8 years in and really went for it in year 10. In case you're thinking the car was just not maintained: I do vg maintenance; the 1st owner maintained it meticulously for his daughter to be safe driving it; had all the records. But I gave up even bothering to wax the car because it was going to look like heck no matter what I did

KIA soul

Perfect car for us we are retired and in a fixed income gas and maintenance are easy on the pocket and it's nice to drive. We would recommend it to anyone, as a matter of fact we did recommend it to a friend and he did buy one .

Kia Soul has spirit

My 2014 Kia Soul is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. Easy maintenance, easy operation, plenty of pep, and a kick ass sound system. What more could you ask of vehicle? For me, nothing. Don’t care for Destination Kia because they were supposed to do a minor repair and didn’t, causing me to stall in the middle of.Central Ave. But I hear the dealer in Syracuse is great!

14 Kia Soul Plus at 60,000 MI a new motor had to be installed and which the guaranteed did cover it did not cost me one penny and I will supplied a loaner for the entire time

At 60,000 miles and new motor had to be installed started using oil drastically a new motor was installed it took about 3 months I was supplied with a loaner it did not cost me one penny but I don't think I would ever buy another Kia Soul I now have 117,000 miles on it and I'm worried if this motor is going to go out as they gave me a 50,000 mile warranty only on the new motor

Love my Kia Soul!

Best little car I’ve ever owned. Very spacious inside. Does well during winter weather (with the appropriate tires of course!) Great gas mileage which we all need these days. This car of mine has been through hell and back and is still kicking so get yourself a Kia Soul!!

Fun Car

Nice, dependable car.

This is my second Kia Soul and I have to say I am very pleased with it. Very easy to drive. The seating area is great and the "trunk" area is sufficient for groceries or packages. With the back seats down, there is lots of room for toting things. I have had this car since 2014 and am really happy with it. Thank you, Kia, for a reliable and enjoyable auto.

My Soul

Love my Soul. Comfortable for myself and my senior clients. Rear hatch accommodates walkers, wheelchair and other equipment, plus groceries. Clients had no problems entering or exiting vehicle. Love My Soul!

Rating 2014 Kia Soul

The Kia Soul is a reliable vehicle. The only fault I can find is poor light bulb connections as I have had to change out several bulbs system wide on several occasions. I have owned many different vehicles and have not had to replace as many bulbs as this vehicle.

Best car I’ve ever owned!

The size of this car couldn’t be more deceiving - in a good way! I’m tall, and I have to carry a ton of equipment for work, and the Kia Soul is like a magic car where I can keep fitting more items in; while still carrying a passenger. Great on gas, and comfort for long travels drives, or commutes. I have 3 kids and they also fit comfortably in the back. I’m staying with the Kia brand for life.

Neat Car!

This has been a dependable car that hasn’t given me any major trouble, mostly wear and tear. So neat! I fun to zip around in. I have a manual transmission and all parts have held up will! A tight little car.

A sweet ride.

A sweet ride. Great gas mileage. I love the color. This is my second soul. I’m so pleased ? With it. It’s fun to drive. I love my solar yellow Kia Soul. I’m 80 and I find it easy to get into and out of it. The seat raises up and I am short so that makes it better for me to see.

I love my car.

I love my car. I drove for Uber for the first year and a half and put 60,000 miles on it. Never had to worry about breaking down. I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a reliable vehicle with plenty of space.

The best vehicle on the market.

This is my second Kia. The first was an Optima sedan. This time I got a Soul. I needed more cargo space and desired a higher seat. Both were of the finest engineering, and besides replacing tires, battery or windshield wiper blades, I have never had a problem. Most reliable and economical vehicles that I have ever driven in my 50+ years of experience.

My first SVU

The best vehicle on the market.

This is my second Kia. Never a problem, just regular maintenance. The Chevy Silverado truck that I owned prior to choosing a Kia was a lemon, especially the transmission. Still I kept it in perfect condition, which was incredibly expensive, until it had 300,000 miles on it. Great about Kia is the 100,000 mile warranty. It gives peace of mind, but I have never needed it. Just waiting for Kia trucks to be available in the U.S.

Absolutely in love with my 2014 soul! Everything runs efficiently, modern updates throughout the entire car, gas is great each time I fill up, don’t have to fill up that often either! Totally worth it!

Kia

Love the car. Service and sales are horrible. They need to fix that problem. They try to up sell all kinds of add ons that are not needed. I bought the car and had the worst time. It took six months to get plates. Just horrible.
