A nice minivan with some issues
This vehicle is pretty wide. It does seat 8, with actual room for adults. It is useful for carting my son and his hockey stuff around. There are a few problems--the display is overly complicated and makes not sense--there are two screens, but neither is a GPS (I'm sure I could have gotten one for another $5,000, but I hardly think that is worth it. Still, there is literally no place to mount my portable one that allows me to see it, and the displays. The super big dash is curved, so you can't set anything on it. There are quite a few blind spots, which I guess is a hazzard in minivans. The think I like least is all of the electronic stuff. Just more stuff to go wrong. AND it has a push-button start, which makes no sense at all, since you have to have the fob anyway. Also, getting an extra one is over $250, so if my husband or I lose one, we are stuck. Still, it is nice and roomy, gets very good gas mileage for a minivan, and I would buy an Odyssey again, if I were looking for a minivan, When I got it, my daughter has crew, and her teammates kept trying to squeeze into the my 1997 Volvo wagon, and it was not safe, so between that and the Hockey players and gear, we got the van. It will get us through both kids college and HS stuff, camps, etc. But, unless you really need a lot of room, I'd look at something other than a minivan. It's a decent car, if it is what you need (apart from the push-button start, which is just silly.
