Worst looking car in town
Mechanically, I have no problem with the Civic. However, Honda did not apply the top coat properly with has resulted in a gradual peeling over most of the car. Started as a small area the size of a dime and soon involved the fenders and front bumper. Honda never told me they were responsible for the paint. I was accused of having had an accident, with the implication that I did not have the repair done properly. I was told I was lying; there was no such accident. Over the years since, there are peelings on every section of the car: hood, sides, top of car, trunk, over back window. To add to the story, I came across another red Civic with the same areas of peeling as the original areas, which I was told by an auto body shop was unusual placement. It has been stated by several auto repairmen that Honda is known for poor paint jobs. For the disrespect shown and the lack of assistance, I will not again purchase any Honda product. (I had many requests for selling my Civic back to Honda, but with the damage to the paint, I couldn't. Other than safety, my second reason to choose Honda was a high resale value. Not how it turned out.)
