Creating a luxury brand isn't easy, but Genesis makes it look that way

My GV80 is obviously the product of thoughtful and creative design. From the tiniest ergonomic touches (no-look knurled control knobs) to the breathtaking interior and sweeping exterior aesthetics, this vehicle turns heads. Your people not only fashioned superb separate design elements, they have accomplished something much more challenging... successful integration into seamless automotive grace. Kudos to your brilliant leadership team. Their extensive luxury brand experience shows in everything they do. My prior vehicle was a 2019 G-70, and my wife drives a 2022 GV-70. We are a Genesis family.

Loaded 2025 GV80 coupe

Overall very comfortable and stocked with amenities. Fun to drive! Would make a few tweaks for functionality (larger compartments in door; small storage area where the fuse box is, take away the removable tray in the armrest) and would like a few more options to be individually customized (I.e. having the seat bolsters in sport mode, but the engine in eco mode; being able to have the massage chair activated any time rather than only at certain intervals of driving). I really like the look of the GV 80 Coupe but would like the body style to be even more differentiated from the GV80 and more exterior paint color choices/interior trim color combinations.

Looks great but lacking in many ways.

Within a month of owning this vehicle, I started getting warning sensors that would turn on and off. After several trip to the dealer, I was told there is a very small chip in a front sensor causing the problem. The chip is virtually undetectable. It is, of course, not covered by warranty and costs roughly $1K to repair. I was told this is a typical problem, which tells me the company is using sensors not designed to be placed on the front of its vehicles. I was also told my iphone could work as a key, but then after I bought it the sales rep said only android phones work, but later the service tech said they can program my iphone but need both sets of keys and a third key provided by the manufacturer. There are several tech features that simply do not function, which I was told would be corrected, hopefully, in software updates. I can continue, but suffice it to say when I spent the money I spent for this vehicle I did not expect this many issues.

Luxury for less

While aiming to compete with BMW and Mercedes as a baseline - this vehicle brings more to the party for significantly less money than those competitors. Excellent build quality and finishing touches and great styling. Need to work on driving experience as the car drives like a super heavy vehicle, which it is, but BMW knows how to do this well.

Enjoy driving my Gv80

Do not like not having the ability to turn off permanently the auto shut off when at a stop. I wish I could turn off the driver sensors saying I need to consider taking a break

Incredible SUV.

Happy with the change from a GLE350 to my Genesis GV80. I love all the extra features I have with the Genesis that I didn’t get with the GLE. Rides great, has more power and looks good inside and out.

Beautiful Car, Great performance

I love my GV 80 Coupe. The styling is excellent and the interior screams luxury. It's quiet, has some real Getty-up, and features are well thought out and not just added for the sake of a. bell and whistle. So many of the standard features, the Germans nickel and dime you over, or should i say $$$$$$$$. Like headsup display, soft closing doors, leather interior. Would I change anything? Yes, I would add some stablizers and perhaps wider wheels to give it better handling at speed. Not as far as the BMW X6M, but more agility than it currently has.

Good car but way too many electronic gizmos

Good car, comfortable, good power. BUT way to many electronic gizmos and way too many choices/selections/adjustments. And certain things are weak, e.g., the map display which really lacks contrast.

A great SUV that makes you feel good.

Takes a little while trying to navigate the many features in the infortainment system. Had to view video on how and what features the vehicle has. The steering is a little vague, dosn't tract the way i like it to, but overall a decent driving car. The drive at road speed is quiet and smooth. Purchased the GV80 mainly for the design, styling and the many features it has.

Like the vehicle but not the eye tracker

I like everything about the SUV except the eye tracking system associated with the variable cruise control. It is a flawed technology. The worst part is, Genesis won’t admit it has a problem. Because of this I would not recommend this brand to anyonevv
