The Genesis GV 80 SUV

I have had my GV 80 for eight months… And in that period of time, I found the vehicle to be pretty much flawless. I was also looking at Lexus models, but it just seemed that the GV 80 gave me more than the Lexus did for the same dollar amount. The V6 3.5 L is flawless… Very smooth delivery, and a lot of torque. The car is immaculately, quiet inside, and seems almost comparable to a limousine. The electronics, although different than most cars I’ve had, work very well… And didn’t take long to master. The build quality seems to actually better that of Lexus, infinity, BMW, and Acura.

Great value! Feature set, comfort, handling, safety features ...

Would buy again. I used to drive BMWs exclusively (7-series, X5s) but found I was having more and more mechanical issues and felt what I was paying was not coming with increased value. Am on my second Genesis and will probably continue to stay with this brand

GREAT CAR - AWFUL COMPANY - STEER CLEAR AS I WILL BE SELLING MY CARS

I won't even bother to review the car because the company itself is awful. I've spent $160K on Genesis cars in the past year. I have a GV80 in NY and a GV70 in Puerto Rico. I purchased the car from the San Juan Genesis dealer and they flat out LIED to me about Connected Services. I explained that I had just bought a GV80 and loved the technology so much I was buying one in PR. Well - NONE of the technology works and Genesis has refused to step up to the plate with a solution. I paid as much as I did for the car BECAUSE of the technology. None of it works. The dealership was deceitful and Hyundai, Kia and Genesis have done nothing.

Love the car! Biggest complaint is the auto shutoff at stops. System should be off unless selected to be on by the operator.

Which is worse - vehicle or dealership?

Not a luxury vehicle experience! Driver seatbelt twists and stops retracting 90% of the time. Settings like recirculating air do not hold. Vehicle lurches even when fuel saver mode is disabled, which should stay where set but no, push the button every time. Dealership is horrific, not doing things expressly requested and returning vehicle with all new, different settings. Then there are the entrance and exit signs taped to the bay doors, and a plastic/rubber item taped to an empty seat protector holder with another sign requesting nothing be thrown into the holder. Just nothing luxurious about this, in addition to the dealership now insisting there is a limited number of complimentary maintenance services despite the 3 year/36 month vehicle warranty on provided paperwork. No one with any chops remains employed on that s-hole dealership. And why did it take until April to receive license plates for a vehicle purchased the first week of January? Demontrond having cash flow issues affecting customer further reduces the not so luxurious experience. Can’t wait to trade for another brand - time to stop the genesisi insanity.

One of the best on the road. Comfort, design appearance all great.

I love driving this automobile, and have not had any problems except for the driver seatbelt kept getting twisted. I just wish it was a hybrid because the gas 93 octane is killing my wallet. Otherwise, I will continue to buy the Genesis product.

Genesis GV80

Styling is good; engine is better than the original first GV80. The new display is far better than the original one. I was surprised you used the same materials for the "chrome" around the lower doors - the first original one had the same as now: mars so needed to be replaced. The drive is not as good as the original one; I think it's larger and feels like we'll tip over on curves: suspension seems not good. I thought Road Preview was standard but guess not. Disappointing. If asked, I would have said you sold me one of the original, just with the new display.

Best Car

This GV80 is by far the best car I have ever owned. I have always owned Toyotas (5 in all) and loved my Toyotas but the Genesis is a far better vehicle.
