Very few flaws

I really enjoy my GV80 but there are a few things that could be improved. I hate that the wireless car charger does not work. I've taken my phone out the case and it still does not work. I test drove a 2025 GV80 and it works perfectly fine in there with the case on. The passenger seat started getting creases in the seat on the side, and there is rarely someone in that seat. Switching between drivers takes a little too long in my opinion, and even getting into the vehicle it takes a little longer than expected for it to confirm which driver is in there. The confirm button is not able to be selected. Options between profiles do not always switch back.

Love driving it , like the reliability. Dealer service has been great

I really like this SUV. Previous vehicle was an Audi Q7. One issue which might prevent me from purchasing again. The front seats are very uncomfortable. It’s something you don’t notice when you’re test driving a car because you are focused on everything else. You can feel the parts for the massage seat all the time. Feels like you’re sitting on two bumps. Have tried everything to adjust, nothing works. Have talked to dealer/service and am told that not an issue that they’ve heard before. If you read auto blogs, it is a common problem talked about extensively. You kind of get used to it because you have to, and I still like driving the car but would think twice next time. Audi Q7 seats were much better, no comparison. Maybe just eliminate the massage seats feature.

Great car

Everything is above my expectations . The only one disappointment is a map screen . Not nearly enough information with clear names of the streets. It would be one of the best cars around if maps updated . But it is definitely a keeper.

GV80 Review after I had to trade it in two weeks less than a year.

I am very unhappy to say that I had to trade in my GV80 due to a bad engine. I had my GV80 two weeks shy of one year and the engine light came on twice. The second time the diagnosis was a part that was on back order for several weeks for the fuel injection system. I need a car that I do not have to worry about engine problems. I have had a Nissan for 11 years that has had an engine light on for the last 5 years. This particular light is a definite trigger for me. I miss my GV80 very much and it was truly painful to trade it in. I loved that car!

Still broken horrible customer service

Second gv80 in past year multiple issues horrible experience with dealership wherever i go no loaner been offered totally ridiculous amount for buyback no response from supervisor and i could keep going. Worst experience again. Genesis caused me just stress and issues

Nearly Flawless

I literally love every single thing about this car with one exception. The seats are uncomfortable - quite hard. I sit on a cushion and that helps. Literally, better seats would make this vehicle perfection. The finishes are luxurious and tasteful, not gaudy or overdone. The options leave nothing to be desired. Just a beautiful vehicle that's really fun to drive.

So Close to Perfect

I would give our GV80 5 stars, but the electronics and navigation can be a little unreliable at times. Otherwise, this is a wonderful vehicle; beautifully appointed, responsive, safe and reliable. We have taken long road trips and never felt fatigued at the end of our journey. We're also very pleased with the valet service (BIG plus) and the responsiveness of the service technicians.

Vehicle is spectacular and awesome to drive.

Sharpest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Look and driving of vehicle are outstanding. In my opinion, there’s nothing even close to it. Effortless power and handles like a high end sports car to be honest. Didn’t go as well in winter weather this past year but it was a pretty brutal winter in the northeast.

Best car ever

I love my car. How it drives. How it looks. All the creature comforts. It carries all the people ant things I need. Especially easy to move kids in and out of dorms and apartments. Love the electric seats, drive and lane assist. Heated steering wheel and air conditioned seats a must now.

Elegance at its best.

I love this vehicle. Definately an eye catcher. Watch out for that long wheel base with curbs though. The front camera lens could be stronger. Rock chip costed over $1K! I see a few tiny paint chips in the front also. I've got to figure the driver seat out too, my rear is sore after long rides. Literally.

Luxury without breaking the bank

Love the ride, comfortable interior and plush seats makes this ride finally enjoyable. The technology is superb with a sound system to please any music lover. Only negative is electronic key card is not apple comparable. Really? and the built in phone charger will not charge newer apple phones. Fix this and we have a 100% vehicle.

The GV80 is a pleasure to drive and own.

Only complaint with the vehicle is the front seats are hard and a bit uncomfortable. The only other issue is with the customer service at Genesis of Weatherford. There is no follow up. We have been waiting over 2 months for them to schedule a repair. This is a poor reflection on Genesis.

Just not there yet. The electronics are unreliable and transmission

The electronics are in reliable they drop the connection to the iPhone often while driving. Transmission makes a noise like a hum and it slips at times. Does not feel reliable on the road. Very disappoints car has 12 k in miles. Last part the car should auto lock when driver leaves with the key in pocket.

My Beautiful Genesis

Love this car. It is beautiful inside and out. The ride is smooth and has no bumps. The design of the car makes it the nicest car on the road. Service is amazing. My car is picked up and a loaner is here. Looking forward to the convertible coming out soon. Would love to buy it

Phone sysem is horrible. Calls drop makes noise folks cannot hear you

Technology basically the phone system needs to be better. Drops calls makes a noise....freezes just does not match the car..have sent back to dealer but came back worse. My 2023 mercedes 500 no issues with phone system very poor quality at best.

Love the vehicle overall. Technology is great but could do better with

Comfort and ride is great. Very nice vehicle. Gas mileage isn’t very good. Substantially more expensive than other vehicles in its class. Both highway and city mileage isn’t great. Even in the eco mode the gas mileage isn’t the greatest. Would love to see some improvements there.

Beautiful, luxurious vehicle that is fun to drive

This car is so beautiful and luxurious to ride in and so fun to drive. There is every function and safety feature you could want in a car. This car stands out - when you see a Genesis GV80 you know it is not every other BMW or Mercedes. The inside is also impressive with the gorgeous stitching on the seats and sleek dash. And who doesn't love the massaging drivers seat.

it is a nice car.

if I am GIVING you a review, why are certain questions required to be answered? that sounds like coercion is it not. over all it is a pretty nice vehicle. when compared to my wife's G80 and my 2025 Ram Laramie the GV80 is the last we pick to drive. it lags behind the others in comfort, ride and economy.

This is a beautiful vehicle. The exterior design is eye catching, and the interior is stunning. It rides very well with little road noise or harsh bumps. Frankly, my wife likes the softer ride than I do. I prefer the German ride. It is a big vehicle, has a powerful engine, and it consumes fuel like a Sherman Tank. Its MPG is not for the faint of heart. Fortunately, we have not tested out its safety features or collision protection, but given its quality, weight, and built in features, we expect it to protect. One of the key reasons we purchased the vehicle.

I'd have to say this is the best vehicle I've ever owned. It took a minute to figure out all the features and I'm sure there are a few I've missed, but I'm sure in the end I'll have it all figured out. Would definitely recommend to anyone. I also own a 2023 G80 and It is equally amazing.
