Like V-6 engine, Ride a little bouncy, sometimes jolting, needStorage

Major reasons for choosing the Genesis was the v-6 engine which is quiet Peppy, personally would be adequate without turbos and tuning for premium gas. I don’t like 4-cylinder engines with numerous geared transmission, which produce a big noise with little go. The warranty being (in my opinion) better than the competition is also a big plus for making the purchase. I also wanted all the advanced safety features. I almost selected a comparable size Cadillac, with Super Cruise but the Change in 2026 to electric in my choice of models just killed it for me. I was disappointed that the Genesis did not have a similar feature. Negatives: On a few occasions I have driven a few blocks, stopped at a stop sign an as I start up, the engine seems to falter and and on one occasion I coasted over to the side of the rode and restarted the engine. Seems to work better when I push the switch that prevents the engine from dying when one is stopped in traffic. I know it is picky to say, painted wheels are a negative. I intended to buy a white vehicle; however, when I saw one up close I thought the wheels made the car too ugly to buy. Storage is inadequate & inconvenience for things like Kleenex, Tylenol, anti acids etc. The suspension could be described as tight to give the vehicle a slight sports car ride, which allows one to go around curves at a slightly higher speed. However, In my area the streets and the interstate highway is not in the best condition, which gives the vehicle a bouncy jolting ride at times, more so than my previous vehicle. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The survey asks for a rating on Reliability, at the 1,200 mile mark it is impossible to know. Because, a response was required I selected the middle. One will need at least a year to say with any degree of confidence.

Comfortable ride. Softer and smoother than BMW- xoesnt handle as well as my bmw. Comfortable interior lots of gadgets and comprehensive, but very sophisticated- infomation syste. Finicky fingerprint system. Below avg gas mileage,even in e onomy mode- 19.4mpg

This is by far one of the best driving SUVs I've had. I have had Audi, Acura, Infinity and Lexus SUVs

Disappointed overall...

My wife and I really wanted to like this vehicle but we were both disappointed with the harshness of the ride. There are many things to love about this car as is evidenced by the many positive reviews online. The vehicle exterior is very classy and the seats are very comfortable with a great looking interior cabin. The infotainment system and overall tech are nice, too. But, we did not enjoy the stiff suspension and the choppy ride, especially when first starting out while the engine is cold. We finally acknowledged that we had not gotten what we wanted and just traded it in on a different 2026 vehicle.

Great Vehicle but...

My 2026 GV70 is a very nice car, but there are a few things that detract from a superlative rating. It is comfortable and has a smooth, quiet(ish) ride. The ADAS features are a nice addition to the driving experience. Lane centering and smart-cruise control make highway driving a relaxing experience. However, the engine noise is a bit harsh - especially when starting from a stop. The brakes squeal in the morning when backing out of the garage - very annoying. The center console is light colored with chrome trim. When the sun hits it, the glare is almost blinding. And the center vents in the dash only spew cold air regardless of the temperature selected on the climate control.

A Sports Car In An SUV

This is my third Genesis. I have had two GV80's, and this is my first GV70. I thought it would be too small, since I was used to the larger GV80. Not the case with the GV70. It still has the comfort of the GV80, but more of a sports car feel to it. I love the color combination that I ordered, Black with Red/Black interior. For my next Genesis, I am going to have a hard time deciding whether it will be a GV80 or the GV70. The only thing I miss is the heated armrest, as the GV80 has. Genesis of North Aurora is my preferred dealer. They are professional, friendly, and really care about their customers. Mike Chino, the General Manager, is a wonderful person and always helps me when I need a new Genesis.

a small annoyance

Fantastic car ! We have had it about two months now. Everything works as advertised. Controls are all in the right places. This is written from the hills of West Virginia on vacation. Handles great. The one thing I have trouble with is that the message- "Have you thought about taking a break?" keeps coming on every 15 minutes. Is there a way to turn this off?
