Great Value SUV

Striking upscale exterior that you don't see every mile of the road unlike Mercedes and Lincoln. Very quiet interior, little road or engine noise. 4 cylinder engine is plenty fast for an SUV. The transmission is very smooth, but the tip in can be abrupt if you try to hustle it. I've seen it written it has an interior of a $100K car for $50K and I concur. The two rotary knobs on the console are still occasionally confused after a year and a half, but not a deal breaker. The blonde/ivory/beige interior keeps the interior bright and pleasant. The spoked wheels for the 2026 GV70 are really boring so I swapped my 2025 spider web wheels when I traded it. I've had fewer software recalls on the 2026 than I did on the 2025, so that's a plus. The panorama touch screen is impressive. The dash top tablet on the 2025 GV70 blocked my wife's view of the right corner, so thanks for the new screen. I hated you deleted the heated steering wheel for 2026, that was a bougie delight that I miss.

My first Genesis experience. Always wanted one.

It is a great car but I found the GV70 to be a little cramped once I drove it for a while. But it is sophisticated and very stylish. I would have preferred the GV 80 model if I could have afforded it.

Disappointing

Connected Services has not worked since we purchased the car in late March. Customer service has been very helpful but the car has now been with the tech guys for 2 weeks without any fix of the issue, even with the installation of a new head unit.

Love driving it

I just love driving this suv. It's smooth, fast and comfortable. Only downsides are: tech is a bit tricky to master and you need the key to open the lift gate.

Terrible design flaw on grill

Design flaw on grill not protecting radiator from road debris and warranty will not cover it. DO NOT WASTE MONEY PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. 2000 in expensive repairs for a vehicle just purchased and there is a chance is can happen again and it will be the same as genesis will not cover it

My GV70

It was a rough start during the first two weeks. The infosystem went totally black. The car was in the service department for over 21 days while we tried to work out a solution. The whole system screen was replaced and I accepted the car back with some hesitation about its reliability. It was very disappointing for me and it caused much anxiety about having a new car especially at the price point of the car. I am hopeful that there will be no further issues but caannot say that I have full confidence everytime I start the car.

Top of the line

Bonnie, my 2026 GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige in Capri Blue with Vanilla Beige/Obsidian interior, has been everything I hoped for and more. The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 paired with the 8-speed auto delivers smooth, confident power, and is a thrill to drive in Sport+ mode. The electronically controlled suspension makes long drives genuinely effortless, as does the driver side massaging seat. Took her on a scenic route through Virginia recently and the chassis composure was outstanding. The interior is where Genesis really separates itself, though. Nappa leather with subtle diamond stitching, ventilated perforation, contrast orange piping and seatbelts, real woven carbon fiber trim, microfiber suede headliner… whew! Every surface feels considered rather than spec-sheet-driven. The 27” OLED display is cinematic, the Bang & Olufsen system is excellent, and the small touches (head-up display, surround view, blind-spot camera in the cluster) are exactly where you want them. Capri Blue is one of the best paint colors offered by any manufacturer right now the pearlescence in the sun is otherworldly. Top of the line. I mean it.

GV70 is great, with one exception

GV70 prestige is a great vehicle. Look nice, it’s comfortable, it’s fun to drive and so far very reliable. Only one issue, it has horrible MPG for its size.

Overall good car - having trouble with service

I have a 2026 GV70 and I do truly love my car. I have had an issue with a persistent rattle in the passenger door that drives me CRAZY. The service department is having trouble pinpointing this issue. Brought it in once and they "fixed" it, except they didn't. I don't think they drove the car at the speed you need to hear this annoying sound. I'm hoping the second time is the charm to get this fixed. Overall I love the look, feel and performance of my car. The service department at my local dealership is average though and I expected better. Hopefully they can resolve my issues soon.
