Love my Genesis

This vehicle is the best I’ve ever owned. I drove a Santa Fe prior to purchasing my GV70 so I was familiar with the quality and reliability they put onto their products. Genesis customer service is outstanding. Most importantly to me and wonderfully surprising was its handling in the snow! That just added to my confidence in this super fun to drive, luxurious vehicle.

Not Happy

I love the car but the service is poor at best .Other than an oil change and rotate tires you have to wait weeks for something mechanical repaired by a roving mechanic.My car was in the shop for 2 weeks before it was repaired and I know it sat there for days before they worked on while waiting for the roving mechanic to show ..they also wanted a 300 dollar deposit on the loaner car they gave me..I've been a Lexus owner for years and they should learn how they service their cars.I have friends that have the same problems at different dealerships..I've given the same review once before and nobody ever contacted me.. hadhad

Overpriced for what you get

Exterior design is very sleek and attractive- get a lot of compliments from strangers when driving around. Interior offers the same luxe feel- very comfortable to drive. Functionality of vehicle is underwhelming. To many buttons options in the vehicle- makes it a hassle to set up sometimes. Motion sensors are not reliable - some days they work great, on others they can be too sensitive and go when no one is there, or they fail notify when they is a vehicle in blind spot. Can make for dangerous driving as you can overreact to the sensors or second guess if the sensors are accurate. Brakes squeal way too much and way too loud- with little to no fix available. These 2 things should not happen for the price of the car.

Disappointment

During my first year of ownership the car spent a total of 6 weeks in the service department. I had squeaky brakes, poor a/c, squeaky windshield wipers. It appears that some of the Genesis parts are of poor quality. I’d have sold the car back to the dealership in a heartbeat if I wouldn’t have to take a massive loss.

I liked the car and had the up-to-date technology. I did have a little difficulty with the dealership when it came to certain things when the car was delivered as they were multiple issues upon delivery of the car, but they were ultimately fix.

The love and hate of my GV70 Turbo

My GV70 safety system even though checked by service and is on does not work the majority of times! Constant noise alerts but lane passing prevention and head on collision or backing up does not work!

I like the car but I am upset that the GV70 Select does not have side sensors on the front of the car. Very disappointing….even my KIA has front side sensors.

Love my Genesis!

Overall I love my Genesis GV70. Some minor tweaks would make it a five star. - replace the circular knob gear shift with a more traditional one. - use the center space for a storage space that would conceal a normal sized handbag - the climate start does not work in extreme cold - the flat phone charger in the cubby space will over heat.

Style, luxury, dependability, and silence

After two Mercedes and two Lexus we decided to try a GV70, and are mostly delighted by our choice. This is a beautiful car, inside and out, with every luxury and safety feature imaginable. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. Exterior cameras, warning sensors, and automatic braking make the GV70 safe in every environment. Power is great; the 4-cylinder turbo seems to have more pep than our old 400hp Lexus (at more than twice the mileage). Also outstanding, the GV70 is quieter at highway speeds than any car we've ever owned. The only disappointing features are the electronics, particularly navigation, fingerprint verification, and interfacing with Android phones. Changing between our two phones is always a problem, and the navigation views are awful. Case in point, last year we went to France and rented a Renault Kangoo (an economy SUV). Never having sat in a Renault in my life, the navigation system was more useful in 5 minutes, than our GV70 system is after a year. We NEVER use the GV70 navigation; preferring Android with Google Maps...IF we can get the phone to connect. How did a Korean company mess this up so badly? (we are diehard Samsung fans for TVs, tablets, and phones). Absolutely worth a test drive the next time you're in the market for a luxury vehicle.

It brings me joy!

I love everything about this car. I knew nothing about this brand other than it being a part of Hyundai. I had just recently purchased a Lexus NX350 but was very unhappy with some of its features and bumpy ride. I saw a Commercial on the GV70 and was wowed by the design and interior. I test drove the car that same week and was sold 5 minutes into the drive. It rides so smooth, the interior color is absolutely stunning, not to mention the details in the trim. This car has such a luxury feel. I love the technology and look forward to driving it every day!!

Meets expectations

I traded my Mercedes GLC300 in for the Genesis GV70. I loved the handling of my Mercedes, so I was hesitant to change makes. However, the Genesis is a nice handling vehicle and the “creature comforts” outdid my Mercedes. So far the service of the vehicle has been good.
