Genesis GV70

I have had my GV 70 less than one year. I have had it into the shop a minimum of three times. This last time I had not started the car for a week and the battery was dead. I was locked out of my car and I tried to call the dealership numerous times with no one answering the phone and text messages not being returned in a timely fashion. I finally called AAA. They came and were able to get into my car which I was locked out of and start it. They tested the battery and it tested bad. I drove the car to the dealership at which point they had just called me and I told them I was on my way. When I got there, they were very cordial and said they would put my car on a charger to see if it would hold a charge and check the battery. They told me it would take several hours and they could take me home but that they did not have a car to loan me. I explained I had just gotten out of the hospital and had numerous stitches and could not be without a car in case I needed to go back. They said there was nothing they could do and I said I would wait for my car to be tested and if needed, I would wait there until they had a loaner car available. They put my car on a charger and came out to tell me that it would not hold a charge and the battery was bad. They did not have any batteries available and could give me a ride home but no car was available for loan. That evening, I did receive a call telling me they would get me a car when the first one became available. I would not have to wait in line due to my health problems. Later that evening I received a text letting me know the battery should be in in approximately 1 week. The next morning, I received a text that I would have a loaner car that morning and they did come through with a loaner at noon. Since then, they said a battery should be available within a day or two. I just want to say that your representatives were very courteous, but the fact that your dealership does not answer their phones or return texts in a timely fashion or even carry batteries for the cars they sell knowing that there is a problem with the batteries is totally unacceptable.

So far I'm not overly happy with this vehicle. Ride is decent but dependability is questionable. Some accessories are not conveniently placed.

Not the best choice

The car just stopped…literally…throttle body injection (at 9,000 miles) went nuts. We talked with someone from Genesis who got a tow truck for us and sent us to a Hyundai dealer, who couldn’t help us. Now, at 20,000 miles, we are told we need new tires…for tires rated for twice that…we are not pleased. The car is beautiful, but we don’t trust it to not leave us sit.

Disappointed with Genesis

Had high hopes but I'm disappointed with Genesis and would not recommend. Recurring battery issue despite being brand new and 10K miles. Terrible dealership network and poor customer service Would not buy a Genesis again, unreliable

Overall we like the car. Good gas mileage and design.

Too much technology for older people. It’s like my phone, too much stuff I don’t need or use. The door locks can be haunted at times. I go out to garage and the car at sometime locked it self. While washing the car, it locks and unlocks a dozen times. Don’t know why.

Very nice comfort and style. Electronics not reliable for a luxury car

Very happy with purchase. Only problem has been the display booting up upon car start. This has happen about 20 times in first year of ownership.
