Great car, terrible service

I loved the car itself and got so many compliments on it. However, I had a few minor issues that needed repair under the warranty and the genesis dealer I bought it from 6 miles away from my house stopped selling Genesis so I had to go to a dealer 55 miles away from my house and all of the concierge service and luxury brand treatment went out the window. Will not be buying another one.

Great ride!

I can't say enough great things about my GV70. The ride is smooth and quiet. The comfort is top notch. The design is sleek and gorgeous. The sound system is great. Wish it took regular gas, though. And a little bit more leg room in back seat would be nice in GV70--GV80 is too big for my needs. Backs seats are easy to put down to make room to haul stuff like a Christmas tree or lots of bags of mulch or suitcases.

I will cry when my lease ends

We love our GV70! We get compliments all the time, and nothing makes you feel good about your car like a valet saying it was a sweet ride. The tech is impressive and useful, the styling is super high end, and the ride is as comfortable as any other luxury brand if not better. Cooled seats put this baby over the top in terms of comfort. She's also a powerhouse and incredibly spacious. I recently fit over 40 square feet of garden soil inside without batting an eyelash and didn't even feel it in terms of power. She's a beaut!

After 2 years - I'm done!

Everything was beautiful after coming from BMW and MB over the years. Then, after two years and 20,000 miles, my 2023 GV70 was in the shop for about 7 weeks with misfiring. Injectors replaced, computer module replaced, etc. Could never get it right. This was a vehicle that I loved - until I didn't. Tech dept. at Genesis Corporation seemed slow to respond to issues and left me feeling like customer satisfaction was something unfamiliar to them.

in shop for almost 2 months with misfires. Genesis Corp not helpful!

Absolutely loved my GV70 until I didn't. Coming from MB and BMW most of my life, I thought I would try. I tend to be very loyal to my auto brands. Genesis of Schaumburg were as helpful as they could be - but Corporate was not at all. Suspected computer issues dragged out because tech dept wanted to take step-by-step action replacing injectors, plugs, etc. Genesis offered to "compensate" me for my aggravation and wanted to know what my monthly payment was. I had to provide this info. $550 for almost 2 months without my vehicle? Finally "fixed", the dealership kept for an extra 3 days to make sure we were good to go. I left for California for 2 weeks and came back. Started GV70 and engine light was on once again. I took vehicle to shop once again and they determined misfiring. I was now done with your brand and all the aggravation it brought me. I spoke to Cierra in customer care and I explained that $550 was little compensation for the situation and I mentioned I should receive at least double that. Here is where you have really lost me: You determined that $1100 was too much and you sent me $915.16. How shameful!! I left the GV70 at the dealership and received wholesale value and went next door to purchase a new 2025 BMW X3. I am not happy because I now have a new car payment for 5 years and I only owed $9,500 on the Genesis. You may have the best warranty in the world, but it's only as good as the people behind it. The vehicle probably needed a computer all along, but I'm not sure. Just know that you have lost a customer for life. I will never recommend your product to anyone again. In fact, I purchased a new Kia Seltos for my daughter because I had felt so good about the Hyundai brand. I hope this gives her years of service. Me? The people behind your brand let me down big time. Please pass on to someone who cares about customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Reliable care and keep user-friendly approach.

Some of the features are too sophisticated (too much thought), keep it simple. We should be able to lock the doors using the lock system on the door not just the handle feature which is nice but should not be the exclusive way to lock the door. Keep both methods available. When I drop my wife off at a destination and go to park and she has the key in her purse, the car will not permit me to lock the doors without the key. Adding features is good but subtracting features is inconvenient. I like the touch screen, it is very intuitive to have that capability. Also, I like the buttons too. Again, it is nice to have both ways to operate the systems like the radio, maps etc.

Happy until now

Car had been great until a few weeks ago. It had a dead battery without any warning at all. Had it towed to the dealer. Replaced battery under warranty. 3 days later it was dead again. It’s been at the dealer over a week and they haven’t found the problem.

This has been the best car I have ever purchased. I have driven Cadillacs most of my life and the cannot come close to GV 70. Comfort, Style, performance, and luxury is the best.

Overall I have enjoyed owning and driving my Genesis.

I am impressed with the look and design of the car. This is what caused me to investigate the brand further. I enjoy the way it drives and handles. My issues with the vehicle are safety issue related. The front end collision warning system has given me problems. Also the chrome on my car has oxidized.

A few technology issues and the dealer (Corona) was not good. The driver assistance system has had problems with false readings and alarms that is extremely annoying. There is only one place in all of san diego to get the car serviced so getting appointments is difficult. My experience buying the car at Genesis of Corona was not good, they upsold me at the last minute and messed up the registration of my car putting it someone else’s name.

Great looking car and a smooth ride.

Overall this is a great car but it does have a few flaws. No walk away lock, cargo is a bit small, and the 4 cylinder turbo is a bit slow. In addition the speaker phone (Bluetooth) has a terrible echo. It drives beautifully and takes the bumpy road quite well. I love the design of the car inside and out. Hopefully Genesis will consider the flaws and the car would be perfection. My advice is to splurge on the bigger engine or the GV80.

Love the vehicle, reliability concerns vs Japanese car coming true

We love our GV70, but with only 10K miles our car started making high pitched noise from the rear differential between 50 - 60 mph. Since the car is so quiet, if the car stereo isn't on, it's a very annoying sound. I have scheduled an service appointment and hoping they will find a permanent fix for this issue.
