Never thought I'd love it as much as my Caddy CTS-Vsport but I do!I
I love almost everything about this car. The ride is superior to anything I've ever owned. The performance, though not on the level of my 2015 CTS-Vsport (420 hp vs 375 hp), is impressive. Gas mileage could be better. Styling and fit are superior to most things I see on the road (exceptions are what I'd call exotics). Extra touches and amenities are a step above - things like the shadow of the Genesis wings that is cast on the ground below the outside rear mirrors - just give you the feeling of being pampered and owning an extremely luxurious vehicle. I've only owned the car for less than 6 months; I haven't had experience with local service departments yet, but I hear from other Genesis owners that they leave some to be desired. I'm not great at technology, but I don't think the infotainment setup is particularly user friendly; the owner's manual definitely doesn't help much in helping find things like why I'm getting a service needed message. I'm sure I'll figure it out in time, even if it means a quick stop by the dealership for a lesson - not a big deal at all. The twist knob for reverse, park, and drive has taken some time to adjust to; I think I'd prefer a handle instead. The things I've listed as somewhat negative are, by no means, deal breakers. I'd make the switch from the CTS-Vsport to the Genesis G80 again without question. I'm giving the car a reliability rating of "5", but that's only because I don't feel I've had it long enough to really know how dependable it's going to be. Based on the 5 months I've owned the car, I'd give it a 10 because there have been no problems, but that's 5 months. Ask me again in 5 years.
