Good Utility Vehicle
This thing is a box on wheels. It's loud, it has dozens of rattles, has a rusting problem with hinges and lower panels, but it's cargo capacity is fantastic.
The folding rear seats let me haul a full sheet of plywood, a front entry door or a ton of 2x4's and 8' moldings. Plus it can seat 5 people in the standard seat configuration.
It's not pretty, may not be that durable, but it's the most useful vacation vehicle I've ever had. I can pack it full for a 2 week, up North vacation, a bike rack on the trailer hitch, AND put kayaks on top. The best part is that I am also comfortable in the rear seats. I'm a big guy and that's a rare thing these days. I don't know what the newer Transit's are like sizewise, but I'd buy another one of these when this one wears out.
