2018 Ford Escape Review
Bought this car from a friend and it's only 7 years old but still has that new car smell. She took amazing care of it so I felt confident about purchasing it with 95,000 miles on it. Seven months later it has a catastrophic failure from coolant intrusion into the engine...a faulty design by Ford Motor Company. I spoke to a number of First dealerships and aren't covering the engines, despite it being their faulty design, and they aren't doing recalls. Had to pay $6,310 for a short block. Just ridiculous that they don't guarantee their cars when the problem is clearly not drivers error or lack of proper maintenance. It is their faulty design which they knew about and sold the cars anyway. I'm now part of a huge class action lawsuit against Ford and will not buy a Ford again. I've always bought Fords, but now I will buy GM or Chevy. I had huge respect for Ford, but after this situation and their lack of care, I have none.
