A headache, but I loved this car

I have had this car for about 4/5 years now. Let me say, we still have a bit to go on my loan and had oil consumption issues. We did have it replaced by GM and not even 20k miles later, my engine is filled with so much carbon that the heads are warped. I was also losing a QT of oil once again. This car was amazing but when it failed, it failed hard. Since we still owe on the car and all of this issues with it, no warranty left- taking it back to the dealer on Friday and they're helping us out. The 2012 is notorious for having these issues. They weren't surprised. I'm sad for it to go but it was absolutely unreliable in the end and to replace everything was not worth it for us or GM. I'm giving it a 3 because I did enjoy this car. It's amazing that with all the issues, the car continued to turn on. The compression was over 200 when it was supposed to be 150ish I believe. I'm very impressed the motor didn't completely explode on me.

Chevy Equinox

I love my Equinox! It is 7 years old and it has never given me any trouble. It is good in has, very peppy, rides well and handle well. The only problem is the steering radius stinks. But, I deal with it! Our newer Equinox the steering radius was corrected

Love my car

I love my Chevi Equinox, in fact I love it so much I want this car to be my daughters first car. I have had this car for 5yrs and I have grown very attached to it. It has taken care of me through a lot, I feel its time for it to do the same for my kiddo.

2012 Equinox

I feel it is a very reliable car. I bought it new and driven it the last eight years, putting over 100,000 miles on my Equinox. I find very convenient to carry lumber and other times adding passengers.

I love it!

This was the 1st SUV that I bought for my self and I love how it handles, the mileage it gets out of 1 tank of gas is comparable to my old Saturn L200 which also was 4 cylinder and with AWD it's perfect in bad weather.

I find my car very good. I think that sums up all that I need to say. And don't feel I must use up my time filling out a questionnaire using up my time. This is very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the worst cars I ever owned

Everything about this car feels cheap, just like all of the plastic used in the interior. This is the only car I have owned where the AC compressor cracked and failed. There have been more electronic issues with this vehicle than any other I have owned. A real lemon in my book. Can’t wait to be rid of it and never own another GM product.

Do not buy! Drinks oil even after dealership “fixed” it.

This SUV has been the biggest pain in my ass of any car I have ever owned. GM dealer “fixed” the known oil consumption issue they said but car still burns oil. Dealership is trying not to do anymore by saying it’s now only burning 1 quart every 1,000 miles. This is so ridiculous I can’t even make this situation up. I used to buy gm but no more.

NEVER BUY

Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Junk. Can’t use that work enough. I have put SO much money into MAJOR repairs. They depreciate so fast that you absolutely can not get out from under neath of them. They have made me hate Chevy all together. I will never own one again(and equinox or a Chevy for that matter). Run fast! And far, far away from them. 4 of the 4 people I know personally who gave equinox’s have had nothing but trouble .

Chevy equinox

I love this car. Have had it over 6 years and no major or minor problems. Good on gas. Only complaint lousy steering radius. Several family members also bought this model and are very pleased with its performance. Newer models turning radius improved.

I love my Equinox

I love my Equinox ,it drives and handles great on the road. It has plenty of room and very comfortable on a long drive, it gets decent gas mileage . I love it for all the comfort and room it has inside.

A good car across town or very long trips built for comfort Gas :-) scenes very efficient In the loud traffic areas seems to be a very quiet ride Handles well in snow or rainy streets or highways

Second Equinox Second Lemon

Easy to work on but I took the car in to the Dealer twice , for an oil problem , they couldn't fix so I had a mechanic fix it . I'm going to send them my bill . When the rear door electric lock fails , there is no way to open the hatch .

100,000 miles in 6 years

I bought my 2012 Equinox in 2012. It replaced my 2005 trailblazer. If Chevrolet still built Blazers at that time, I would have purchased one. But this is next best vehicle based on my needs. I am happy to say, that I have been blessed to have had very few issues since I have had it. And with the Blazer coming back in 2019, I am trying to hold on until then. Chevrolet, "The heartbeat of America".

Great car

I love my Chevy Eqinox! In the almost 6 years I have had it I have had no problems. Starts on dead of winter. Goid on gas. Easy to handle. My husband leased one last year. My daughter loves hers as well.

Incredible service

I purchase my 2012 Chevy Equinox 3 years ago as a used vehicle with 21,000 miles on it. Using the vehicle primarily as an Uber after 3 years I now have over 321,000 miles on my car. Everything still works and I still have the original engine and transmission. I couldn't be happier with my Equinox. Thank you Chevrolet for building such a magnificent vehicle.

It has always been a reliable vehicle that serves our family. Intermittently, the dash lights go out and the dealer has never been ably to solve the problem. They changed the battery cable but that did not solve the problem.

Too many issues

Extremely slow, needed to replace the motor at 84,000 miles. Spacious backseat. Drivers side window no longer wants to roll up. I actually really like this vehicle, but it has had way too many problems.

I love my Equinox!

This is one of the most dependable vehicles that I have owned. Love knowing that I have the room that comes with an SUV, but yet it handles like a car. Love all the options that were available. My Equinox gets amazing gas mileage. I won’t ever go back to driving a car.
