Never go there for service!
Do not use the Service Center at this dealership! We just spent $2k+ and 3 months (!) to ultimately learn that they did nothing, ordered parts that weren't necessary, and overall gave us the runaround.

The full story:
- In May 2024, our car was towed from a body shop to College Park Hyundai since the car was no longer driveable after trying to get the new panels back on.
- It took them about 7 weeks (weeks!) to run the first diagnostic. We only found this out because we hounded them by phone. At one point, they said they had lost our keys. We asked them why they didn't just tell us - since we had two pairs!
- After the diagnostic, they decided one of the car's modules needed to be replaced. This part is about $1k.
- Again, endless phone tag as we tried to get a sense of how long it would take to order this part. First, they said a couple days. Then, they said no dealership in N. America (!) had the part - and it would need to be ordered from South Korea. Then, oh wait, they have the part.
- Another round of phone tag, and we find out the car is still mysteriously not working, even with the new 1k module. No idea why. They have to run another "diagnostic". Who knows how long that will take. We left on vacation.
- Back from vacation after 2 weeks: still no progress.

During the endless phone tag, while some of the staff were courteous to us (Adrienne was very professional), the supervisor - Michael? Micah? - was not. He told me (who is 1/2 German, 1/2 American) that he was "trying to understand his accent"? Wow. They almost never called back after promising they would; we were often waiting on hold for up to 45 minutes; we had to beg for information that, when it arrived, didn't make sense.

When we came back from vacation, we decided to have it towed to another service center: Fitgerzald Hyundai in Rockville. It had been months that we were carless. Funnily, everything sped up a LOT when we said we wanted to close our ticket and tow the car. Suddenly, they called us back when they said they would, sent us texts for payment (after telling us previously that you had to pay in person...), and generally moved very quickly.

Within three days (!), Fitzgerald Hyundai diagnosed the issue (a crushed wire; caused in error by the body shop), gave us daily updates (including an in-depth video), and talked us through solutions. We got more info and progress from Fitzgerald in three days than we did in three months (!) at College Park Hyundai. Fitzgerald communicated proactively and clearly; College Park, it was like pulling teeth. And they were ultimately incompetent. It's painful that we spent $2k for a part we didn't need and labor that took forever. But our lawyer friend said don't bother pursuing anything in small claims court. One thing is for sure: we will never be coming to College Park Hyundai again, and really recommend others against it too.

Awesome buying experience!
Thank you to the manager Magnus, salesmen Charles and Nnadozie, and finance Ike at College Park Hyundai for the most positive car-buying experience ever! I couldn't be happier with my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited truck. All the gentlemen were attentive, answered all my questions, treated me with respect, and made my purchase hassle-free! Nnadozie and Charles were extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and made sure they reviewed the truck's features before I left the dealership. I recommend them to everyone.

Treated pretty badly
We experienced deplorable customer service at College Park Hyunda. Our car was with them for 4 months. This company would not release our car until we paid for the fix, which was result of the antitheft flaw. Hyundai corporate reached out to them on our behalf to submit to us a goodwill estimate, which they refused to do. This added to an already trying situation after our suffering from our car being stolen. Additionally, they demanded that we had to pay their fees by their timeframe or they would move the car to an auxillary lot where additional fees would accrue. That timeframe was one week even though our insurance deductible would cover the costs. Chester was rude, refused to listen, and wasn't cooperative when we told him that we had a case manager and were working with Hyundai corporate. He flat out refused to assist and was disrespectful.

Unethical Parts Dept
I have a bronze color Tucson with a chip and called to purchase touch up paint and expected it to be the exact same color unbeknown to me after using and speaking to the “part manager” touch up paint can’t be applied in the cold and there’s no guarantee the color will match, this should have been mentioned initially then told me to get it professionally done and hung up on me! The chip looks like patchwork, more noticeable and I’m pissed. The manager just kept fishing for an excuse yet when I picked up the product none of these possibilities were discussed until I called today after using the mix matched color!

Just purchased the Kona Sel 2023
Just purchased the Kona Sel Oct 7th 2023 at the College Park Dealership. October 14th had mud guards fitted in the servicing department.

A crossover vehicle loaded with safety features!
Upgrade with sunroof, large 10" monitor screen, more accs. Accepted the protection package.
Hyundai sales eager to assist us to choose the right car! Competitive indeed to other vehicles.

Impressed with the Kona SEL! Rep 'Collins' quickly finalised the selection of 'add on features' in this Kona and we successfully did a 'trade in' for our old Hyundai via the manager..

Hyundai financing was available and also other Insurance vehicle maintenance protection available. We declined as we had pre arranged finance. Worth looking at what Hyundai offers in comprehensive choice for loans and upgrades.

We note the Hyundai Dealership did locate the 'payment check' delivered by 'secure signed Fed Ex courier', a little delay, but the check was located in the service department the next day from internal inquiries. Appreciated the quick follow up.
Rubber mats and a full tank gas before before driving away with the new Kona.
A tip, some bluetooth features and sirius satellite trial may need some user sign on guidance which the dealership Consultant 'Donnell' and Sales Rep Collins helped in this way.
Returned to Hyundai Servicing the following week as we received a 20% discount voucher and I took advantage to purchase accessory Hyundai mud guards. 'Servicing fitted the mudguards for a reasonable cost in labor.. Appreciated the good well.

Horrible dealership from the sales to the service department
Don’t say you weren’t warned !! Just look at the other reviews of how they lose peoples keys, don’t return calls, poor customer service, fail to assist you AFTER buying a car, leaking oil after oil change, engine failure, and engine lights on BRAND NEW CARS!! etc etc etc ! Shady Salesman! I am being harassed a year later because they traded in my car that was in my DADS NAME AND never got a permission to trade so now after realizing their mistake they decided to harass me. They even tried to scare me with an email from a “lawyer” after THEIR mistake and NEVER compensated me AFTER selling me a lemon THEY KNEW ABOUT and keeping my NEW car in the shop for over 3 weeks with no communication. RUN RUN AND RUN. The managers/ ASSOCIATES BRANDON, ELLIOT, EDDIE, AND CHRIS, ROSE ETC ARE SHADY!! They also won’t put me in contact with the owner of the dealership like they are scared or something. Maybe because they illegally traded a car that they didn’t have permission too. Hmm. Shady business. Do not go here!!!!!!!!!! If you choose to buy a Hyundai keep in mind there is no one that will be able to help you if something goes wrong! They care about money more so they will sell you a lemon they knew about, you won’t get compensated for ANYTHING! The dealership failed to escalate my issue and Hyundai “consumer affairs” was no help! Please please be careful. They totally ruined my first car buying experience!! READ REVIEWS! All they care about is money and it’s sad. It’s cool though, karma is very real. How you treat people comes back tenfold :)

Learn to greet/keep your customers
I've bought 7 vehicles from College Park Hyundai or the last 4 years... No Problem, but the Service Department totally different.

I will not go back to College Park to service my vehicles there anymore!

Terrible experience since i purchased the car
Since i bought the car its been problem after problem. I went to hyundai college park looking for a reliable car only to have the car in and out of the shop in the 5MONTHS that i have had the car. I get the complete run around when it comes to service or questions i have.
