An Old Car That Continues to Run and Drive Great

We purchased this '01 Regal in '02 with less than 12,000 miles on it and it continues to impress us with its smooth handling and power (GS model). The only complaint I can think of is that we did have to replace a plastic radiator low coolant sensor which required removing the entire radiator after 120,000 miles. We don't really know how many miles it has on it because the electronic odometer stopped displaying somewhere around 146,000 miles. For all we know it probably has 160,000 miles on it but we don't care because it's too expensive to replace the instrument cluster and it continues to run and drive great.

Not My Father's Buick

Purchased this vehicle in 2002 with 7,000 miles on it and it has been the most reliable and fun car to drive my wife and I have owned for the last 25 years. So much so that I can't get my wife to let me trade it in for a newer Buick. Oh, we've have had a few minor issues with it over the last 150,000 miles like the radiator heat sensor getting stuck instead of floating properly and the mileage does tend to fall off from 30 MPH to about 23 MPH when you kick in the fantastic supercharger on this GS model. This car has caused us to not consider anything in the future but a Buick.

Good long term investment

Purchased car used in 2002 with 6,000 miles on it. Now approaching 140,000 miles with no plans to replace it anytime soon. Regular maintenance and fixing little things along the way have kept this one of my favorite cars ever.

Still going strong after 14 years and 135,000 miles

This Regal has the 3.8 Liter Supercharger and it still pins you to your seat, even after all these years and mileage. While it does require premium gas it more than makes up for that by constantly delivering up to 30 MPG combined City and Highway driving. My wife and I have no intention of getting rid of it anytime soon.

My Solid Dependable Buick Regal GS

I've owned this car for 13 years and I still love it. It has the 3.8L Supercharged engine that still gets around 28 MPG overall. What I really like is having all that reserve power available if I need to pass another vehicle where the passing opportunity might not be a good choice with a wimpy engine. Yes, it takes premium fuel to enjoy that peak performance but it can also run just fine on 89 Octane if I choose.
