The best car EVER!
I've been driving my 2025 BMW X5 xDrive50e now for 12K miles. It is the best car I've ever driven. I've ordered it from the dealer with all options that I wanted. The beauty and craftmanship of this car are basically what I expect of BMW. It's top notch. I just can't think of anything that I would improve or change.
There are quite a few features that I use & love.
1. I now rarely go to the gas station as most of my drive is electric. I can go couple of months w/o gassing up the car. At the same time when I go on a trip I don't have range anxiety as I also have a wonderful gas engine that works great.
2. Comfortable interior is state of the art. Car is so comfortable to sit in and drive. On my first trip in it, I drove for 4-5 hours a day and there was only one day that I actually turned on massaging seats as I was getting fatigued a bit.
3. Cooling seats are a life saver during the summer. They keep me cool w/o blasting A/C. I much appreciated it.
4. Car is very agile on the road on a twisty & bumpy roads. This one comes with standard air suspension, so all the bumps that would have been downright miserable in other cars were pretty easy to handle. Also, since it has a large battery at the bottom, this makes it really solid on the pavement as its center of gravity is pretty low. It doesn't feel like you are driving an SUV, but rather a very powerful agile sedan.
5. It accelerates FAST! When you are in sport mode you get such quick acceleration, it's just a pleasure to pass others on 1 lane roads. You just have to wait for that dotted line...
6. This car also does breaking for you as you get closer to the car in front of you, turn on your signal (not on freeway), or get close to stop sign/red light. I didn't think I would like this feature, but after trying it, it's absolutely fabulous. It starts breaking w/o me even fully realizing as it's so soft. It allows me to do one pedal driving as I don't use my break as often as I used to. This also charges my battery via regen breaking.
7. I also love automatic high beams. I don't have to worry that I would accidentally blind someone. Works great.
8. I love that I can precondition the car for departure. I don't usually use this except on very hot days when I go to the store and leave the car in the sun. Then I just set it to be precondition for me in about half an hour and when I come out of the store, it nice and cool for me. The engine is not running for this as it's using the battery. I love this feature.
There are lots of other features that most modern cars have these days that I'm not going to go into, like Android Auto, heated leather seats (front & rear), and so many other features that I just assume most modern cars have.
I would recommend this plug-in hybrid to anyone who loves to drive, loves being comfortable, enjoys some luxury in their life. At the same time it’s for someone who fully understands the cost associated with purchasing & driving this car and is truly OK with it. If spending money on the car stresses you out, this might not be the car for you.
Overall this is the best car for me as it answers all my driving and comfort needs and I also think it's just beautiful. BEST CAR EVER!
