Best Car I've Ever Owned!
It may not be an E46 M3 or 330i ZHP but it it's been getting me to where I need to go for the past 20 years. Original owner of a 2004 E46 330i. Running the same engine and 6 spd manual transmission without any major break downs. Been through five sets of tires, including spare tires, since I rotate all five tires. Reason for that is because when the full size spare is brand new, it makes it difficult to take it out of the trunk storage compartment. Once the tread wears down, it becomes easier. I can change a flat in under 15 minutes if I don't have any cargo in the trunk. I'm glad my year model was the last to have a full size spare instead of run flats or compact spare. Unlike the M3 and ZHP, I don't have to worry about staggered wheel size and the spare can go any corner. All I need to do is adjust tire air pressure.
Other than normal tire wear and other routine expendables like brake pads, oil and air filters, coil packs and plugs, hoses, water and fuel pumps, my 330i has and still brings a smile to my face every time I get in it. It's easy to work on so I do most of the maintenance on it. If anything requires a lift or special tool, I'll take it in and have it done. If given a choice between an E46 or a newer model, I'll stick with the E46.
