Love the Car, disappointing reliability
My wife loved the car until it got to 70,000 miles. Brought it in for scheduled service (not inexpensive) and about a day after a Check Engine Light appeared. Brought it back to the dealer and was told that it most likely was that the timing belt needed to be replaced at a cost approx. $2K. I asked if this was normal and was told "not normal but also not un-normal. When I complained, Audi offered to limit the cost to $1K. I went to a repair facility that I trusted and was told that if it was in fact a timing belt, approx. cost would be $1K (so apparently Audi was not really helping much). In the end, it was the timing belt that needed to be replaced (at only 70,000 miles!!!)
