Having bought more than 4 sets of tires from Direct Tire over several decades, I have nothing but goo
d things to say of their work in those matters and particularly my most recent experience.
Two days ago, a rear tire on my all-wheel drive Audi Allroad suffered puncture damage. The offending finish nail was still imbedded in the sidewall and leaking air fast enough to flat the tire in 10 minutes.
I emailed Bob at Direct photos of the damage at 0830 the following morning. He was immediately clear that this wasn't patchable and that, after 20000 miles and 4.5 years of service, the other 3 tires would have to go too (the AWD system is fussy about equal rotation rates and tire sizes). I wasn't particularly thrilled, but was in total agreement.
The stunning part of this was that Direct had in stock a set of 4 Continental tires identical to the ones already on the car. I was able to get AAA to flatbed the car, flat tire still in place, about 10 miles to Watertown by 1130 AM. I then got a call at 230 PM saying the new tires were on, alignment done, and that the car was ready to go. All this on the same day for a price only about 10% higher than I paid 4 years ago, which at the time was competitive with what other shops wanted!
I don't think anyone could guarantee that it would work so well every time. But it would be hard to argue that another shop could have done this better. Barry Steinberg (the founder, who passed away several years ago) would be proud.

Sam took a quick look at my vehicle and assessed what needed to be done, and said to me that he would take on the job personally. After totaling the cost at a very reasonable price, my car was ready much sooner than I expected. Another top-notch job done by Sam Alami. The staff are all first-rate, and Keith and Aziz are especially dependable.
