Attacked and Threatened by Staff

If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm a new resident to Virginia, Charlottesville and UVA. In the past year I have purchased two full sets of brand new tires for my vehicles from University Tire on West Main, both within days (+$1,200). I like to be a loyal customer when I can, so I decided to return today to get an oil change and have my vehicle inspected. As indicated by other reviewers, my vehicle failed inspection because of a barely visible crack in top corner of my driver side mirror that has been there for several years (and through multiple inspection cycles). I was shocked. Well over 2 hours after I first arrived, I asked to pay so that we could leave and get this car inspected elsewhere. I was told by Brandy at the front counter "you need to wait" (just like that). I again told Brandy that wanted to pay my bill and get my car, and that's where this situation really became surreal and frightening. Brandy lost all sense of civility and customer service and began screaming at me (without a mask on, by the way--NONE of them had a mask on) -- and then directed her anger toward my 13 y/o who asked her why she was screaming at us. When I told Brandy to knock it off, she unleashed a rant that was unbelievably loud, rude, and difficult to follow. Next, she picked up the phone and said she was calling 911 on me (for what?!), which I agreed would be a good move because I was really getting scared, and I didn't have any way to leave since they still had my car. Turns out she was on the phone with the regional manager, Onnie, who himself didn't have the courage to shut her down. The way she screamed at him was almost as bad as the rant she directed at us. I'm 50 y/o -- first time I ever experienced ANYTHING like this. To top it all off, they were unable to figure out how to reset the "maintenance required" display on my car after the oil change. I was told that I needed to return on Monday to have that done. NOT a chance I will ever go back; instead I watched a 2-minute YouTube video on my phone and I had the display reset in five minutes. The regional manager refunded my money, but I will never step foot in any University Tire again.
