The lack of communication & professionalism!!!
This place is the worst of the worst when it comes to customer service. How do you take my car for a recall and some repair work and keep it for 2 weeks with communication. I won't call the whole staff out but "MATT HORTON" who happens to be the assistant service manager is the worst. He is the reason that this is a one time trip for me.

The lack of communication for a customer is unreal. I've called and left numerous messages for a call back or an update on my vehicle. I did not receive not one call back in a 2 week spand. I literally had to come back up to the dealership for an update which is ridiculous. Then while there he "MATT" lied about the update and where they were in the process. So after 12 days of no phone calls, email or anything I get a text message saying my car was done. Not a phone call, email but a text message. The nerve of these mofo's, I'm that low on the radar I don't deserve a phone call.

So finally come to get my car. His demeanor is arrogant as if everything was ok. He is so nonchalant as I'm asking questions as to why my phone calls weren't returned or emails answered. He just shrugs his shoulders and says "I'm sorry I suck at my job" in a sarcastic manner. "Yes you F *** do sir!" is what I replied with. That guilt shaming does not work with me. Im the who who pissed, I still have to pay for my vehicle that you have inconvenienced me out of for 2 weeks. That was so unprofessional and the quickest way to lose me as a customer. I would give the Genesis service department a negative star if I could. I'm only speaking for the Genesis services & the manager who happens to be the assistant service manager.

So if you have a Genesis that needs work, I would stay far far away from this place by any means. I would not recommend any Genesis owners get service here if they have to deal with MATT HORTON & his team. They are clearly not the standard of service. I have had better service at a fast food drive through when they left out the main dish of the meal. At least with them, when you go back you get the proper update and a correction.

This department unprofessional, slow with repairs lack people skills and customer service. Not that I needed it, but they didn't offer any type of compensation for my trouble. So I hope corporate reads and acts accordingly. This/ he (Matt Horton) will be the reason you will continue to lose money & customers.

Brand new lemon GSA vehicle
Unfortunately, the new government vehicle, a brand new 2025 Elantra, was a lemon. We had it for two weeks, 252 miles, but then it was at the dealership for over 80 days. This was due to waiting for parts and service, then more parts were needed but were delivered in pieces (transmission clutch turned into a new transmission).  During that time we would call or email for updates.
Customer service could not locate the car in the system in most instances and communication from the service department was little to non-existent.  We had to stop in twice to check on the cars progress since no calls were being returned.  Once we picked up the vehicle, we noticed the backseats were down in the forward position, some debris was in the trunk, a "club" card in the cup holder and the mileage had increased significantly (much more than a test drive).  It was obvious it was used by someone for personal use during the 80+ days in their possession. We'll never take the car for service at this dealership again.

Can't trust them
Ad reads price $21,600 and fees at $150. Call to drive to Hampton to buy and they change fees to $999.00 and they could give a rip. Face book and anywhere else needs to know .

Sold me a car they knew had a engine problem now I’m out of 15 thousand dollars in one year
I brought car 8/22 now I’m told nothing they can do 10/23 the car is not drivable I took car there less than 30 days of purchase with oil consumption problem they knew from beginning I will never recommend there they way I’m being treated

Worst service/no service in my life.
Had an appointment and dropped my Genesis G80 off on Monday evening for a recall service per letter I received. Had to go to this dealership because they were one of two Genesis authorized dealership. Dealership would not take my calls or return my calls for three days. After requesting to speak to a general manager I finally talked to someone to find out the status of my car and they replied they didn't know when my car would be ready. Told them I'm picking up my car Thursday evening regardless and the recall had not been completed. If this is the way Hyundai/Genesis customer service is I'm going to sent this Genesis car. High end car brand with low end service.

really disapointed in this dealer
Well lets see. I have a 2022 tucson hybrid. Wife was driving to carolina . Engine coolant light came on ,checked vehicle and Coolant fluid in reservoir was at the bottom. Went to hyundai dealer in Carolina bought the hyundai pink coolant And filled to max line. Now There a rattle coming from the engine compartment . One of the advisors advised me not to drive vehicle. I was transfered to another adviser who told me the hyundai service appointments were all booked up until mid july. Now i have a vehicle that i am not supposed to drive and have to wait a month to have the hybrid looked at. I have purchased about 6 hyundai vehicles in the last 12 years from this Classic Hyundai dealership [it was Tysinger until last year]. But being treated like this ,I will never buy anything else from this dealership.
OH YOU ALSO LOST A 2024 TUCSON HYBRID LIMITED SALE.. I WILL PURCHASE IT FROM ANOTHER DEALER.
ITS a shame because I have been doing business there a long time and the mechanics and a few of the service advisors are great.

Poor Service or better yet NO Service!!
I made an appointment approximately 3 weeks ago to have my vehicle’s A/C checked and to have a recall item addressed. I had an appointment for 9:30am and when I was being checked in the service advisor informed me that in order to get an A/C diagnostic that I would have to leave my vehicle there for 4 to 5 days because they were backed up. I explained that three weeks ago I called and made an appointment for service not a reservation to speak to a service advisor and no one told that my vehicle would not been seen the day of my appointment. The service advisor stated that the appointment starts when they fill out the work request and it would be 4-5 days before they could perform the diagnostic. I asked for him to write up the service request for today and give me an appointment for 5 days from today and I will bring my vehicle back in for the diagnostic. The service advisor sated that he could not do that due to company policy. I said forget about the diagnostic and just perform the recall service. He told to get the recall service that I called in for ahead of time (3 weeks prior) I would have to wait 2 to 3 days for the recall service to happen. I can’t help but feel if you call in and make an appointment and wait 3 weeks to be seen then your vehicle should be looked at. Don’t think I will be back to this dealership again.

Racial and gender insensitive
I believe i was treated unfairly and poorly yesterday on 3/11/22 by the staff at Hyundai due to race and gender. Also i am almost 5 months pregnant and a black woman who was treated very poorly and the team was very calloused towards me. I was treated u fairly by not having my car serviced and being told upon retrieval of my vehicle that the people who decide to wait have top priority and the others if they choose to leave will get to them whenever. I took a day off to have my car serviced and some other items taken care of and my whole day was wasted because this company and team in particular are prejudice against black women. I will not be bringing my vehicle back here and hope everyone who has touched my vehicle gets dealt with in the proper manner. This feeling is not okay and being pregnant I’ve never felt more disregarded in my life compared to how they treated my husband and other customers i saw them interacting with. I hope something is done asap and they don’t treat all black women this poorly.

Employees don’t care
If you want you vehicle serviced please take it somewhere else, not here. They had my car for 7 hours and never did the oil change. I had an appointment at 930. Car didn’t get touched until 5. Zero communication. This place is the worst.

Second time they held my car all day with zero results
This is the second visit in 4 months where i have dropped my vehicle off in the morning (with an appointment i might add) to my car either not being serviced or them not doing everything i asked them to do during said visit. Today i was told the waiters have top priority over the door offs, even though mine was an appointment and was told i needed to bring in the car on a weekday for the service i needed. So i took a vacation day for them to hold my car all day. My car was there from 9 am until they pulled it back at 450 pm. This is the worst service twice now so needless to say i will not be bringing my car back as literally no one is helpful or apologetic for their mess ups. And i cannot get my day back unfortunately so i will have to schedule the things that need to get done another time with another hyundai dealership and pray that i get better service. Customer BEWARE if you’re NOT a waiter. :/

Service plan issues
Giving this a low review due to the fact I had purchased a service plan through them and when canceling another plan they canceled both. Even though I had written and verbal confirmation that they would not cancel my service plan. Upon finding out it was cancelled I contacted them 5 times with no response. They then attempted to tell me two different dates that it was cancelled. One before my payments even started- if it was cancelled why was I making payments? I had also used the service plan multiple times which does not make sense. They then told me it was canceled due to “non payment” even though it was fully paid off. They never took responsibility for canceling the plan after providing the written proof of them saying it would not be cancelled. After buying four cars here it is extremely disappointing for something to be handled in a way where they say it was a “miscommunication” instead of owning up to the fact that they messed up.

Poor quality service
I had to have my seat belt buckle replaced again at tysinger now auto mall in hampton va. There was a previous recall that they Said they fixed and it became defective in 2022 again. Crystal in hyandi service ordered the wrong part so I had to wait a week. The second
Time crystal ordered the buckle, guess what it was defective. Week three now the buckle was replaced. Before the service, I asked crystal if I could have the old buckle back then crystal told me oh they threw the old one away. Cystal never apologized to me for any inconvenience. Then I asked crystal about a prior repair and crystal stomped her pen down on her desk like she had an attitude. Now I have a humming sound in my car noticed after they replaced the buckle, cystal said I would need to pay them 140.00 for them to look at my car for the sound, even though the sound was not there before they replaced the buckle. Low quality service and a dark cloud seems to always hover over this place.

Who in the hell charges 145$ for a diagnostic
Need to get my car serviced regular oil change and stuff I tell the rep that my car been running a little funny no check engine light or anything jus running a lil funny first thing they say is it cost 145$ just to check it out every time I take my car in they do a routine maintenance check to tell u if something is wrong with ur car now… but today because I say it’s running funny it cost 145$ worst place ever to buy a car even worst now that it’s not tysinger anymore I wouldn’t recommend u buy a bike from there and I’m not looking for nothing free my car paid for I jus want quality service I’m still under my power train warranty with y’all well under it what’s the problem ?
