I also had them disable the stupid chime so I could get some piece and quiet. The BMW is now entering a phase of life where all the electronic gizmos fail one after the other making the car a money pit. If you are stupid enough to buy a BMW, trade it in by 60K miles before all the electronic klap-trap starts driving you nuts. Magic Mechanic keeps these crates running at minimal cost.
I will be giving this car to my step-son in a couple weeks, so good riddance to Hitler's revenge on wheels.
