Terrible experience with purchase, service, maintenance and repairs.
I would not give any stars if able. I traded in my new 2020 Santa Fe for a new 2022 Santa Fe at Team Hyundai of Bend. That was the first mistake. I purchased 2020 Santa Fe from Dick Hannah Hyundai in Gresham, OR and it was a great experience. 9 months ago the vehicle failed to accelerate when driving, failed to shift, and engine sputtered like it was going to stall. I brought it into Team Hyundai of Bend initially without any help. Recently the car failed to accelerate while drying and I immediately pulled over and had the vehicle towed to Team Hyundai of Bend. The vehicle is under warranty and there is a transmission recall on the year and model. Team Hyundai of Bend has been unwilling and unable to determine the problem with the vehicle. They have not responded to my request to consider the transmission recall despite me explaining to them the vehicle was doing exactly what the recall stated. I also purchased a maintenance package for 5,000.00 and they have refused to provide any maintenance to the vehicle. Now I am grateful that I paid for the maintenance rather than go without from them because I do not trust their abilities. I have discussed the problem with several family, friends, and acquaintances and all of them are shocked and surprised at Team Hyundai of Bend”s unwillingness to work with me to service or repair the vehicle after purchasing from them. Several people I spoke with suggested I speak with Damon, the service manager, but he is the person unwilling to provide service or repair. I am extremely grateful the problem did not result in a fatal accident. As a single parent I depend solely on my one vehicle purchase and financed, but don’t have. I purchased this vehicle from Team Hyundai of Bend because of their advertised warranty, safety features, service and repair promise. These is an absolutely shameful treatment of customers who pay more there than going to Portland for better deals and service. I can’t imagine they have any satisfied customers.
