After wasting weeks with Sumo Ventures and their so called Venture Partners Alex Muse and Molly Cain, it is painfully clear that this is a fake VC. It took some digging, but our lawyer (was suspicious from the start) found that they are not a registered company, their financials show they don't have any money, Alex has several lawsuits for bad debt, and they have a bad reputation at the DEC and RevTech.
Alex was sued by his employer Shopsavvy (a company he claims he founded and had a huge exit).
Both of the venture partners had nasty, public social media fights with their employers after being fired, but that doesn't match what they claim on LinkedIn or in their biographies.
We found where Roberts Foster Law Firm dumped them as a client. Beckman and Vela Wood lawyers didn't have anything good at all to say about them. Seems like no one in Dallas has anything good to say about them.

Nothing adds up with Sumo Ventures.
