Add on Frivolous Charges
I brought my Santa Fe in for the recall. Chad, the Service Advisor, said that it would be up for inspection in a month and asked if he should do that, too. I agreed and told him that I’d need new brakes (was told that the last time I took my car in for service). They called and quoted me a total price for the inspection, brakes etc. Also, said that I needed wipers, but I buy & change them myself. He said that he could give the wipers for free.

When I reviewed the invoice, they did give me the wipers for free, but charged $36 for the 2 minutes it took to snap them on. They also charged $130 to check the rear brakes, even though I told them I needed new brakes.

Needless to say, I will never take my car to Springfield Hyundai and this will be the last Hyundai I purchase.

Dear Ms. Krautheim

    I am sorry it too so long to respond to this posting. I checked your recipt and found you are mistaken, we did not charge you any labor for install your wipers, wipers and labor were both Free. We also did not charge you for checking rear brakes, you were charged for installing rear brakes labor was $129.95 and parts were $95.00.

I can explain you recipt to you something my service advisor should have went over with you. I appologize. Just wanted to make you aware.
