I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Palisades from this dealer and was recently contacted asking if I was interested in trading for a new vehicle. We have gone back and forth for 3 weeks and the numbers were just not working out on the type of vehicle we wanted. We wanted to keep the same type of payment for the same type of vehicle with the same trim package. We made it perfectly clear that we wanted the same options and were advised that the payment would be roughly $60 more a month. Due to the difference in payment we advised the dealer that we would hold off and wait for incentives to come out to help us get to the payment we wanted. The dealer indicated that they understood, but contacted us this morning indicating that they had gotten with their management team and could match it currently payment for the new vehicle. We drove an hour to Granbury only to be advised that the vehicle that they had quoted being the same payment was two trim levels down from our current model. We attempted to meet them in the middle and advised we would consider one trim levels down but were not going from the top package they had to what seemed like the base model. I feel like the dealership lied to me, did not have our best interest at heart and was just trying to say anything to get us in the door. I was not even in the market for a new car, and the way this was handled, I will not be going back to Shottenkirk. No one likes being lied to or misled, could have spent those four hours with my kids or doing something productive.
