Easy as pie
Hyundia of Green is a great place to shop for cars. No pushy sales people. They keep the clients best interests in mind and when they give you a price, or ask your budget, they keep you where you want to be. I got really tired of giving a price point at other dealers only to have them come back with a price I could not afford. These are good people and that is what we need in society today.

Confusion and lack of professionalism
To be blunt, I was convinced by sales rep to bring 2011 Sonata in for collision estimate and test drive of new car. Arrived early for scheduled appt. only to find Paul, the sales rep. was nowhere to be found. After waiting 15-20 mins., Kevin asked if he could assist me; he then explained that the car I wanted to drive was not yet on the lot and a second car I had asked about wasn’t scheduled to arrive for a few more days. Kevin also explained that the age of my car and mileage would yield only $500 to $1k on trade, and that the store in Green did not typically provide collision repair estimates. I drove from Tallmadge, 2 miles down the road from the Marhofer Collision in Cuyahoga Falls and roughly 3 miles from the collision repair center in Stow. Waste of time! Grateful Kevin stepped up so I didn’t wait any longer.

Unprofessional
Myself and my daughter wanted to purchase a vehicle. We both went at separate times to test drive and were told it was out for service. After many calls and Texts we had an appointment for 9:00am today. They called to cancel this morning and reschedule for Monday as the salesman couldn’t make it. We had taken off work to be there and stated we would still be up and would just work with someone else. They called back and said it was being detailed and wouldn’t be there until Monday. Then another person called and someone else was test driving it right now. We were ready to make a cash deal on the car all week and got the run around. Canceled appointments and lies were the basis of our experience at this dealership. I do not recommend this very unprofessional place.

Best car buying experience ever.
Got a 2023 Santa Fe. Love everything about it. The salesman really knew this vehicle in and out and was able to share with me all the features that this ride has. This was the best car experience I have ever had. I’m usually nervous and unsure. Earl Witherspoon showed me what this vehicle had to offer as far as performance and all the great features. Once I got to finance with Tim I was like I hate paperwork. He made it all so smooth and understandable. Both Earl and Tim worked as a great team to get me in and out. My experience was great from start to finish.

Incompetence x2
Made the mistake of leasing a new palisade last summer. Back and forth for 8 months to get a small dimple in the driver door repaired. I had to deal with 2 different managers due to employee turnover. I was flat out lied to and just put off for months. Now I'm in 3 weeks dealing with service to repair a dent which I purchased a protection plan on. The lack of follow through and general incompetence is astounding. My BP is spiking at the thought of dealing with these people when my lease is up.

Do not recommend
From the day I bought my car, Ron Marhofer has not respected my time. The overall purchase was a disaster that took over 4 hours- the car needed “cleaning” after being delivered. I had already reserved my car, but when I arrived I was still trying to be “sold” on a car I already knew I wanted. My purchase included free oil changes, but had I known those would be nearly impossible to schedule and take 2 and a half hours to complete, I would’ve gone somewhere else. Trying to talk to someone over the phone is close to impossible. I called everyday over the course of two weeks, leaving voicemails each time. No callback was ever given. The one phone call that was picked up ended with a man telling me to be patient and someone would call back in a couple of hours- didn’t happen. If you want to talk to someone, call before they open. Overall, I do not recommend this dealership.

Brief required oil change etc.
I gave the Service Facility a “5 “ rating even tho’ the customer area is under some upgrading construction. Elevator and other improvements. Noisy at times but that’s okay considering the extent of the improvements under way.

What happened to Marhofer between 2006 and 2022? Not sure but I miss the old Marhofer
Pictures of some of the 10 cars my family and I have purchased from this dealership over the last 16 years. No issues till 2022 when a 2015 Sonata, with 80,000 miles get an oil leak. The car was perfectly taken care of and under an engine recall. Recall was denied by the dealer.

Issues we had
1.) Dealer denied the recall and charged us $2,000 repair
2.) Dealer never provided a loaner car
'3.) Dealer never answered the phone
4.) 2 weeks later engine light comes on, we call AAA have it sent to the dealer. Dealer waits 3 days to call and I try to call back and all I get is voicemail.
5.) I go to the dealer and it is a zoo, nobody there to help, nobody cares, they are all scrambling
6.) Dealer charged for a part under the car but never installed it, said they would call us.
7.) We tried to buy a new car (our 11the car and trade this one in) salesman takes 100 for elantra says in a week one will come in, 3 weeks he never calls.
8.) Call salesman and he says he is too busy from Presidents day, he will call me next day and never does.
9.) Ask for a refund on the deposit for a replacement vehicle.
10.) Everytime you call service you never get a person and you never get called back.

Can't buy a new car, can't get service, denied recall claim all after buying 10 vehicles from this dealership in 16 years. I have been driving 30 years and never had a car, let along a Hyundai have a $2,000 engine leak at 80,000 miles, if I had, I would have never bought a Hyundai again. Sad this dealership has declined like this, I have been loyal to them for many years and referred at least 15 sales over the last 15 years through family and friends. Not sure what their problem is now.

I mean literally I had a 2007 Sonata I gave to my son and it lasted him through college all original engine and transmission. Something happened with the services and reliability of the vehicles as the 2015 having a major failure and recall not being honored by the dealer with 80,000 miles is a real disappointment.

(Edit- 3-25-2022) I should add my stepdaughter has a 2011 Sonata and it was under an engine recall. Marhofer in the falls replaced the engine, no charge, it was great service (in 2019) it had 120,000 miles on it and it was leaking oil. So to have a 2015 with only 80,000 miles under the same recall and get charged $2,000, I am over the recalls. I am a firm believer that it isn't problems that are a problem, it is how problems are handled that are an issue and that is why I kept buying them after my 2019 experience but now they are doing different. You can see in one picture at one time my family owned 5 simultaneous sonatas purchased at Marhofer (just a few years ago the pic was taken). Sad to see the decline. As a matter of fact I had referred at least 15 sales over the last 15 years and converted lifelong Toyota customers ( like my wife) to Hyundai but now, this car, my wifes 2015, gets this experience and the dealer could not handle it worse.

(Edit 3-26-2022)- Can't make this stuff up. My wife was 30 miles away, driving home and just 3 miles before her exit the engine light comes on with only 937 more miles since our last visit and the engine lost power. She nearly got hit from cars behind her and had to go to the slow lane, the engine would not exceed 50 MPH. She pulled off the road and told me she is done with Hyundai's. She called me, I gave her my car and drove her car to the dealer. The employees today were much nicer than in the past, I explained I wanted the engine replaced under the recall, this is a safety issue, I am tired of it. They told me a mechanic would look at again and let me know about the replacement. I will be sure to update this post when and if they do or don't make this right.
