Our company (mid tier company based in the midwest) worked with Proximity to Power, which claims to be a firm that can help with marketing, branding, executive level connections, startup influences, etc, etc. The two people that run this company are nice and probably believe their claims.
But, my experience has been that they had very little to no actual experience in the areas they claimed to be experts. Their references and people we met that provided positive feedback were actually just friends of theirs, many of which later contacted us asking for investment or a job (odd as they claimed to be successful CEO's and business operators).
On multiple occasions, one of the owners behaved in an unprofessional manner. Adding to that, we caught her in several lies.
We terminated the relationship, when it was clear it was going no where.
It is my feeling that Proximity to Power is more of a fun hobby and way to socialize for these women, but what they don't understand is they are wasting their clients time and money. Not to mention they are committing fraud.
