Still doesn’t work
They had my van for 11 for a transmission rebuild. I picked it up at 11 am 4/11/25. At 5:30 when leaving for work car shifted extremely hard into reverse. Does not shift through gears hits 3000 rpm’s and that’s it can’t go over 35. Will no shift into 4th. Now I have a check engine light and loose bolts on the transmission. Extremely disappointed and I’m taking it back Monday morning. They will be fixing this until it’s right!!!

2018 grand caravan trans rebuild
Well, 5100.00 and it shifts worse than before I dropped it. My wife picked it up, drove 10 miles round trip to JANAF, and limped it home. Won’t shift out of second gear, RPMs peg at 3500 at 45 Mph. Hard thump in Reverse, check engine light, and 2 loose transmission mounting bolts. And of course they close at 2 on Friday, because it’s never that easy for us. Funny tho, I asked Frank if he QCd the job and he dodged the question. I’m a heavy truck tech and a business owner myself, so I wanted to send my wife’s car to Price’s, because they’re local, they have a great reputation, and because it frees my and my shop up to generate revenue in our field. Should have just done the job myself, bought a new trans and be done. Have videos and pics for proof. I ll be down Monday morning.

Excellent Service & Great Staff
I brought my baby to Price' Transmission based on previous reviews. When I spoke to Alan and Frank, I was treated fairly and with respect. I was pleased to find out they personally respond to every review.
They did a great job replacing the transmission of my F150. They were honest friendly and treated me like family.
I found out they are a full service shop and plan to bring my truck there for all services.

Left in worse shape...
I came in to diagnose the CVT. They said I needed a new CVT transmission and a tune up. When I drove it in there were no lights on the dash except the TPMS light from a low tire. I said I'd think about it and when I got the car I left with a check engine light, cylinder misfire, and a missing bolt from my engine cover. I pulled the engine cover to find 3 dirty bolt heads and one partially clean one from the ignition coil on cylinder 4, that guess what, was the cylinder misfire according to my ODB scanner. Went to Advance and got a new ignition coil and fixed the check engine light along with the rough running engine.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, even if it was less than ideal. It sounds like your visit turned into an unexpected additional repairs. While we strive for thoroughness, ensuring we deliver the best service possible. You brought your vehicle in to diagnose a transmission problem. We confirmed you did have an internal transmission issue and it needed to be replaced. When we scanned for fault codes there were codes P0303- Cylinder 3 Misfire & P0300 Multiple Cylinder Misfire present. We switched # 3 & # 4 Ignition Coil to see if the Misfire would change Cylinders and it did change to Cylinder # 4 Misfire. At that time we reccommended a tune up consisting of spark plugs & ignition coils which you declined the repair. If you have any additional concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're committed to making your experience at Price's Transmission & Auto Services a smoother ride in the future.
