Trash straight trash
The service department is the worst. I've been having the same issue with my 2022 Santa Fe for the past year and each time, I'm told the problem is fixed and yet, it's reoccurring. To add insult to injury--I have to pay out of pocket for a rental for several days for them to correct the same problem I took this vehicle in for. I went to O'Reilly's Auto part and they were able to diagnose my vehicle on the spot. They service department is not helpful and they assume they could just tell me any old thing to make me go away. Save your money and the additional frustration and go to Honda/Toyota and purchase a vehicle. If you're having reoccurring issues (same problem you paid to correct) call 18006335151 to their Lemon Law Department.

Don't sell your car to Kearny Mesa Hyundai
Hyundai Kearny Mesa scammed me when I tried to sell my car to them. After inspecting my car and confirming it was in perfect condition, they made an offer, which I accepted. I promptly provided a copy of my license, and we arranged for them to pick up the car later that day. However, just an hour before the scheduled pickup, they called to lower the price, despite our prior agreement. Kearny Mesa Hyundai uses bait-and-switch tactics, and I strongly advise anyone considering selling or buying from them to avoid this dealership at all costs.

Almost fooled me!
I owned 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy which just hit 30000 miles and told me to contact the dealer. I also received a couple of txt from Hyundai, one, that this service is free compliment of Hyundai. Called for an appt and talk to Roceo, I asked her twice about the service being free and she said YES, asked her again before we hang up and said YES again. Drove over an hour this am due to traffic, coming from Chula Vista... Brittney came and got some info and told me she will be back to check her computer...came back and handed me a paper while telling me that the change oil and tire rotation is free but I have to pay the 30000 miles service! PRICE: Over $1100.00 So I told her what Roceo told me that it is free... Brittney said Roceo is part of TELE... and she does not know and gave me a wrong info. Her mistake and she will address this... while I was pissed off. Drove over an hour during traffic then this treatment? And I even bought this car from this dealership! I talked to her supervisor Eric, but for nothing...he just smiles at me.... SO BE AWARE!!!!!

Andy Pabon
In shopping for a new e-car, we had the fortune of the Andy Pabon treatment. Professional, knowledgable and witty, Andy was a real asset to our search. Even came in on his day off to give his "Pabon" special test drive in an Ionic 6 with my wife. Best test drive in the business. We shopped for the same car at another dealer and there was no comparison in the approach and thoroughness. Andy even took the time to print out the entire brochure when none were available, and was quick to share the differences between model specs with other print outs. I'd recommend Andy to anyone looking for a car from Hyundai.

I would like to share my buying experience, in February of this year I bought a Hyundai Palisade in Kearny Mesa, where the sales person Hassan Ali attended me; Due to service hours when I pickup my vehicle, they gave me the SUV pending the installation of some accessories; They told me that I could install them or even go to any agency to do the installations. The next day I tried to do it myself, but none of my tools were adequate for fitting the parts. Watching installation videos on YouTube, I realize that a special tool must have come in the box with the cargo bar trays, a box that was opened by dealership personnel. Of course, in another dealership they did not want to do the installation since it should be in the place of purchase. When I took it, they themselves looked for the tool in the different places inside the vehicle where it could be and could not find it, they did the installation of the bars later and told me that when I needed to remove or adjust the pieces I need to come back to dealer, which I do not agree with, the tool come with the purchase and they lost it. After multiple times to spend trying to get my tool/ key to adjust the bars the sales representative said that he would request it and that he would notify me when he had it, after 3 weeks I called again to find out and now they says that if I want the tool I need to purchase myself, a lot of back and forward and nobody knows anything.
I am very disappointed about Hyundai Kearny Mesa and I taking some time to advice you and if you can prevent buying a car in this dealership since they missing the most basic principles of customer service.

From the bottom to the top! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wrote a pretty negative review of KMH on Google and would have liked to have updated it but I couldn’t do that so I am going to write a new one based on my experiences, Thursday., July 14 and Friday, July 15. Checking in for a new battery was seamless and very pleasant. I spoke to Aric about my Tucson and the importance of having a dependable, well-running vehicle. He is a great service manager. When car was done a report indicated that the engine filter and cabin did not pass manufacturer’s recommendation. Aric changed the engine filter (which was filthy) for me.
George, Customer Service Manager, called and he told me to stop by Friday. Aric checked the cabin filter which was okay so something must be wrong with the checking machine. George asked if there was anything else that bothered/concerned me about the car. (Nothing !). Then he topped off my gas tank which was so nice of him. I was really impressed with the attention and care my car received.
I gladly give KMH a higher rating than my 1st review.

Listen up.
Frank hyundai sent me to these guys becouse they weren't able to see me.
I met with Mr. Jones the service advisor and told him I recently changed the differential oil in my car and there were chunks of metal in in the oil and a big chuck on the drain plug.. the car is still under warranty.
Mr jones told me they charge 175 for dionostic. Also asked them to check the diff. Bushing. No loaner but a ride to enterprise so I can rent a car.
That was 8 am later I get a call, Mr Jones tells me the bushing are gone and out of warranty. I told him the extended warranty should cover it. He said he'd check.
Then he told me that the service manager said it's normal to have some metal shaving in the oil. I told him it was chunks. They had the car fri ,sat,sun, Monday they called said they didn't find anything wrong . This is what they did. They drained the oil that I had just changed and said there was no metal in it. They refilled the diff. and drove it for 4 miles. The paper work said they found no shavings in the oil and they didn't hear any noise during the drive. So they charged me $175 to change the oil in the diff. and drove it 4 miles to listen for noise.all they had to do is lift one of those rear tires up off the ground and spin it that would have been it. I can tell it's bad and if they really looked at it they would to. He told me the bushing were bad and that the extended warranty they said would cover everything their warranty did is now telling me that the bushing are not covered. I asked what they charge to install bushing for me. He told me they don't have the tools to do the bushing. He recommended replacing the sub frame, I guess the bushings come with it and with it a cost of $3700. And change. So that oil change cost $175 and another 157 for rental car. They way I see it they stole that $175 becouse if they looked for it they would of found it. I did.

They didn’t find the problem with my car
My car is out of the blue dying while I’m driving. I dropped off my car at the dealership to fix it. They took my car for one week but didn’t find the problem.
My car is still not working and constantly dies while driving…

Not sure service was completed
Upon starting the car following the service, the car still indicates it is in need of 5000 mile service. Either the service was done and this notification was not reset, or the service was not done that and they said it was. Either way, I do not have time to get my vehicle back to the dealer to correct this issue

Worst ever ! What happened? This dealership was excellent a year ago
Worst experience ever and have been taking my Elantra here since 2010. Told by my service rep multiple problems eg loss of staff new management and overbooking
